NY Resolutions

I have a resolution just about every month of the year to lose weight/exercise regularly. But like @Celeste and @Karen it is more prominent during New Year (and I also do try to be more mindful at the start of school too). sigh.

I don't usually make them nor keep them.
I have chosen my word for next year though...grasp, so we'll see shall we?

Well I really hate resolutions...I totally fail, but I have to make some changes due to some recent health issues. I have been researching to find recipes that will fit the plan, cuz I am really tired of the merry go round :) On another topic I want to scrap 30 pages + a month...I think its doable...been kinda doing it since August. keeps me and my hands busy LOL...

I don't really do NY resolutions. I do always pick a power color for the year. I'm just weird that way. It's a color I make a point to wear to boost my confidence & promote strength. This year was Navy Blue, 2015 was turquoise, 2014 mint green, 2013 peach, you get the point.

the way things are right now? I check that I am alive in the morning and I am determined to make the best effort to make it to hospital appointments and another day without strangling my 20 years old daughter...(turned terrible twos, but not even that, she was great at 2 LOL)

What a cool idea! I like it. Hot pink has been mine for so long now maybe it's time for a change.

I never make them because I never keep them, and it's just depressing then. But this year I want to create an art journal in the WORST way. I've been gathering supplies for awhile, just got ink for the printer to start printing, and pray that someone got me the journal I put on my Christmas list lol. I've had an interesting life and I'm 60 now, so it's time to start putting it down on paper for the grands to have when they don't have me anymore. I think this will be a very fun way to do it for me, and fun for them to read it then.

I always have the same resolution - to lose weight and keep it off. Losing isn't the problem. Keeping it off is. Maybe I should just sew my mouth shut.

I have a couple - to be more healthy and feel better about myself (yes I do need to lose weight but right now feeling better is my start point) and also be employed in a role within the disability sector so i'm not reliant on government financial help.

Well, I should have read this thread before posting my OLW thread. Haha.

My goals aren't so much resolutions, I guess. Well maybe. I'm not sure. As I mentioned in my other thread, my word for the year is "intention". I feel like I waste so much time browsing things instead of using my time focused on different goals I have, then complain I don't have enough time. For example, facebook and stores... I lose hours browsing and scrolling through facebook, reading through different groups' posts, but then "don't have time" to read up on specific friends or family's posts. In stores, I will browse the store, buy things that are pretty or on sale, but then not have money to do bigger or better things, or in general making poor financial decisions.

I hope that by being more intentional with my time and focus, I will be able to achieve a great deal more.

I have scrapbooking goals, fitness goals, finance goals, and reading goals so far. If I continue to focus on being intentional with my time and energy and focus, I think these things are attainable. I am by no means thinking I will be able to change at the stroke of midnight, but I hope to improve over the course of the year.

Mine for 2016 were resolutions rather than goals (goals are usually measurable, have specific due dates, etc.). I will probably keep the same ones in 2017. They are:
Eat only healthy foods.
Exercise everyday.
Read my Bible everyday.
Be kind.
Tell my family I love them.

I created a background for my laptop desktop with goals on it. This helped me focus on them every time I turned on the computer. Seeing them all the time was very helpful.
