Which camp do you fall in? Are Mondays your favorite fresh day of the week?
Or do you hate Mondays and wish it was Friday, Sunday, or another day?

Me? My Monday routine is off today. I usually like Monday because it's my husband's weekend, so Monday is akin to most people's Saturday around here. But today, he's working, so it's weird. Also, I'm watching a couple kids while my friend takes the baby to the dr. So, abnormal Monday.

I LOVE Mondays - that was always the day the kids would be back to school and I had the house to myself and the glorious peace and quiet my introverted soul craves.

my boys have been in summer camp and this week we are all home together.
It was a sleep in morning. I actually slept until 8am! They just got up at 930!
a big breakfast and plans for the day hammered out.
So, they are listening to "the lost hero" by Rick Riorden and cleaning their rooms.
A lot of laughing and just hanging out together today.
I did 30 minutes on treadmill with them home, (miracle). We are gonna hit the pool at 2ish, me for laps, them for just get out of house fun! (if the weather cooperates). If not, I think a board game will happen.
I have 2 pages opened in photoshop, I am playing with for August's challenge, so hopefully get those done.

I love Mondays, and Fridays and all the days inbetween!

During the school week I love Monday cuz it means the house is MINE and mine alone lol, but when I worked I was in management for a store in the mall...Fridays were my Mondays ya know? Anyway, I guess I don't hate Mondays but they're not my fave, either.

I am ok with mondays. It gives me the idea of a fresh start.
When I'm off, like on summer break, I dislike that most stores only open until after lunch on mondays in my country. Like I want to do things bright and early and be done with it by lunch, not wait...

I dislike sundays evening though...

Mondays are routine for me - and they are okay. Yoga at 9:30 - and laundry all day long. I usually try to do it all on Monday and then only do an occasional towel load later in the week. I do usually get my steps in on Monday with all the running up and down the stairs as my washer/dryer are on the second floor. So for me - a fresh start.

I used to dread Mondays when I worked outside the home. The weekend was never long enough! I did love my job even though it was stressful, so I did enjoy the work, but the stress - it just built up over the years until I snapped. LOL

Now that I'm my own boss, Mondays have a different feel. For a long time, I've just gone with the flow of things around my house, working my schedule around whatever is happening in everyone else's schedule. So Monday could actually be my Saturday or it could be on a Thursday. LOL I guess the Monday yuckies were still happening, but were on different days of the week.

I've started calendar blocking in the last couple of months and I've found it's made a huge difference in everything in my life - personal tasks, work commitments, me time - and I've discovered that I really love every single day. :)

Eh....as long as I have some coffee I can conquer most days. Hahaha!

This last weekend we were out of town for a little vacay so today I'm a little more tired than usual and I had a meeting first thing at 8am but....I had my coffee so I'm good. :hehe

I'm a Monday lover, always have been. (I know... I'm weird!) I just luv starting a new week... a fresh start.

I sing "Just Another Manic Monday" to my daughter every Sunday night. All of the years I worked, Mondays were hard - I didn't want the weekends to end. My dad hated Mondays - even after he retired. He wouldn't even schedule a doctor's appt on a Monday. LOL

To me any day is a good day -- weekends are better since I am off work but the work days are OK to.

This is intriguing to me. I think I'm going to have to research it!

Basically, you just block everything on your calendar. Your sleep schedule. Commuting. Cooking and eating dinner, even clean up. It really helps you see how much you accomplish during the day AND keeps you from overbooking yourself or thinking you'll do more than you can possibly do!

I just use Google Calendar and use the color options to block out different calendars, like for work, personal, self-care, etc.

Mondays aren't too bad. In the summer I love them, but for the opposite reason as you, Courtney...I love that DH goes back to work and gets outta my hair for a bit LOL. During the school year they are not so bad either...it's the one day during the week that my house actually looks decent and all the laundry is done from the weekend, so I don't have too much to do when I get home.

Are Mondays your favorite fresh day of the week?

I was going to answer this and then I read Stefanie's post and she pretty much summed it up for me...

I LOVE Mondays - that was always the day the kids would be back to school and I had the house to myself and the glorious peace and quiet my introverted soul craves.

Totally me as well! But with summer and the kids at home, it's just another day. Although, this week, we had such a weird weekend that I'm not really sure what day it is! :giggle

I don’t mind Mondays. My husband usually works Saturday and Sunday so it’s like the middle of our week. It’s usually grocery shopping day which I normally don’t mind... but I was NOT feeling it yesterday.
