Okay one week over so how are we all going?
Does someone have a challenge they are struggling with?
Do you have a challenge that you really really enjoyed?
Never hesitate to ask for help if you need it. As there is always someone here at the Lily Pad willing to help.

6 of the 7 have been fun to do but that torn edge challenge was horrible.

Let me say that I don't like the look of torn edges (never did it with paper either), so having to do it and not knowing how was exasperating. Not to mention that my internet was down for 4 to 5 hours so I couldn't even go searching for tutorials for PSP on how to do it. I worked on it way too long with multiple tries and all looked like crap. After sleeping on it and completing the next day's challenge, I revisited it with different photos. It went smoother this time and I'm OK with my layout... but I still don't like the look! To each his own :)

Last year I sort of lost my mojo and didn’t do all of them so I didn’t have any idea how it would go this year. lol So far I just haven’t done today’s challenge. So yay! I was most entertained by the torn photo simply because of my subject, my little baseball player.

I just finished my day 7- I was contemplating what to do for much longer on that one than any of the other this week. While looking at our calendar for this coming week- I actually said the words "looking forward (to August)" to my husband and it clicked to use that! lol! Funny how that just happens sometimes!

I loved the template one- since it was easy, but I think my favorite was the torn photo- as I had to pull out some old photoshop skills working with actions & brushes to finish that one- so it was fun!

So far so good, Anne-Marie, thanks.
Keep at it Cathy. You'll pick up the pace. 2 is still easy to catch up. :cheer
I'm with you @HavaDrPepper torn look - not my favourite, having said that I was so unhappy with the way it was going I ended up making 2 pages. :P Who would have thought it... not I.
Hope you get your mojo back, Jen. It's nice to have a photogenic subject, always helps. :)
Well done, Amie, 7 out of 7, me too. Trying to keep up. :funfun

Haven't started any yet but that's cause I've been dealing with unexpected family stuff for the last week so my mind hasn't exactly been on scrapping

@littlekiwi Jennifer, I hope things settle down for you so you can get some MOC layouts completed.

I'm doing pretty good so far. I need to play in Day 7 still but I should be able to do 2 days tonight (Day 8), once I finish my designing duties :yesss

I don't know how long I can keep up like this but I am trying something new this year with time blocks. I work on something by time blocks so that I don't spend too much time on something (even if I would like to just have fun all the time lol) and it's kind of working nicely so far. Not having many classes ( I teach French) now makes it easy but working from home is sometimes challenging because a lot of distractions and errands can srcumble down your plan very quickly lol
Anyway, I am trying hard to scrap as many challenges as I can, in order this time because I feel like if I get distracted with a new challenge, I won't do the one before and will start loosing tracks.

Also, I enjoy filling up my pages recap template (kindly offered by our very own Cheryl of Fiddle Dee Dee Designs :agree) as I go. It feels rewarding each time I see a block filled with a page :giggle I'll decide on the decorations and background paper once all is in there.

Good luck everyone! You can do it!

I'm with you torn look - not my favourite, having said that I was so unhappy with the way it was going I ended up making 2 pages. :P Who would have thought it... not I.

Yeah, never dreamed I would do 2 pages for that challenge! Choosing the right photos helps. My first set of photos just didn't work no matter what I tried.

I'm all caught up. I also struggled with the torn photos one. I love the concept and challenge and I really loved everybody's pages but I had a hard time making a page that I was happy with. Finally got close enough but I'm definitely going to try the technique again sometime in the future.

I can’t believe we’re already a week in! I should be catching up today but my bed is just too cozy!

I have been sick all week and I'm so far behind with only 3 done, but I'm determined to get them done now that I'm starting to feel better. I think the hardest part for me is just figuring out what pictures I want to scrap. That seems to take me forever sometimes!

I haven't attempted the torn page one, which looks difficult. I'm working on Jan 4 masking challenge now....

I'm just finishing up day 7. The torn photo was the hardest for me too. I had a hard time finding the right photos. And the filled template was a push for me, too, as I usually like my pages fairly simple. :)

I'm looking forward to week 2! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. :)

For the first time EVER, I've scrapped each page the day it was posted. I know I probably won't be able to maintain the pace, but it feels good right now! My schedule has just worked out that I have a lot of time to scrap.

Torn paper was also my biggest challenge so far. My most favorite, was today's Looking Forward challenge. Every MOC has a challenge that fits this "goal theme." It is satisfying to look back over them at the end of the year and feel the sense of accomplishment.

I have enjoyed all of them so far and am really happy with all of my layouts except for my torn pictures layout. It didn't really come together like I pictured it. I am toying around worth redoing it if I get a chance.

I'm feeling good about the first week now that I'm caught up! I had quite the search for one of my daughter's senior photos and didn't want to skip ahead on challenges.

I finished three pages so far and am fine with it. I didn't plan on doing the challenges on the same day since I like to start a page and pause at some point, do something else and come back to it later, to have a fresh look at it. So I started every layout on the day of the challenge but havn't finished them all.
But this time I set the rule for mysely not to get more than five layouts behind. Because of that I had to finish one today and will have to tomorrow, too. And I plan some "catch-up" days ahead in my calender to have enough time to finish those layouts. So far it's working fine, let's see how it is going till the end of the month. ;)

I also struggled the most with the torn photo challenge because I found it very difficult to find pictures to work with it. Although I really like the idea of the challenge. But now I got a combination of pictures I like and just have to do the rest of the page. ;)
