@bestcee I would consider a different version but this is the only one that is on sale that I can afford

Boo! @littlekiwi here's the thread I was thinking of where @klee73010 mentioned the biggest issue with 12.

I know you didn't ask me, but I am a big Lightroom fan. You can do it both ways. I have separate catalogs, but you could also do both in one. If they're in separate catalogs, you can choose a different catalog in one of the menus and LR will restart. I like it that way because I always choose one thing and then stop and choose the other, but some people prefer to be able to get whatever they want whenever they want and so having them all together makes more sense.Do you have your kits and photos in the same catalog? Or do you keep photos elsewhere? I need to sit down and work with Lightroom so it will work for me.

I have keywords for designers and they're in folders by store. (Actually, it's just two folders: TLP and Everywhere Else.) So when someone leaves or moves I can just drag the keyword from one folder to the other. Done.
It takes less than half the time to restart than the initial start. I typically just switch once per LO. I'll select pics, choose to open them as smart objects in Photoshop, restart it in the stash catalog. While it's restarting, I run an action that collects all the pics into one document, by which point my stash is all loaded and ready to be browsed.Does it take awhile for LR to restart? Or is it quicker than when it starts initially? And do you find yourself going back and forth a lot between catalogs?

I am trying to get organized and hope the challenges are not to demanding.

I have 2 sets of pics I could go with. I loved MOC last year, but in thinking about it this year I think the best prep I can do it is to decide not to do it. Just too much stress this year and want to start next year with as little as possible until my body repairs. It's been a hard decision, but now that I made it I'm writing it to put it down in black and white.
Getting excited but also a little apprehension since I am not a quick scrapper (darn paying job is interferring with my scrapping).
Sometimes this happens! Whatever is going on, I hope you are back to feeling good again soon. Hugs~I have 2 sets of pics I could go with. Holy cow girl this is serious stuff. It did give me the idea to move some of my SO designer folders over to a bright and shiny new TLP folder so I guess I need to make that happen. I'm still working with PSE8. Hope it can keep up with my scrapping demands next month. lol{I hope I picked the right forum!}
With less than a week to go, and Christmas done, my thoughts have turned to MOC!
My new pse14 is loaded into my computer, although I still need to add my actions and styles! My photos have been added and backed up. My in the store kit previews from current designers are in an easy viewing folder. I have extra batteries for my mouse.
I'm going shopping today to add to the fend for yourself dinner pile. (man and boy can not live on hotdogs alone!)
What are you doing to prep?
Good idea, I need to do that too.I'm new to TLP so I subscribed to all the designers' newsletters I could find and took advantage of any freebies they offer. I've also already received a couple of coupons in my first week here and have used them.
