Today is National Milk Day. It celebrates the anniversary of the day milk was first delivered in sterilized glass bottles: January 11, 1878. The only time I really have milk, other than in baking, is when I have a bowl of cereal, maybe in a milkshake. I'm not a fan. I will occasionally drink some chocolate milk, but that's like maybe once a year lol. I use Oat or Almond milk in my iced coffee and when I make my overnight oats.

Do you drink milk?
Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else?
Plain or flavored?

Not a milk drinker. I tried to eat breakfast cereal for a while, but didn't like it anymore. My daughter loved milk, but it made her so phlegmy, I tried to get her to stop, but she insisted it wasn't the cause. Hmmmm....I hope she found a substitute. My son actually works for So Delicious, at one of their factories where they make non-dairy frozen desserts. They make coconut milk. So, yes, there are options, I guess, I just don't need to use it for anything, since I'm not a coffee drinker and don't bake.

I don't drink or use milk much these days. My preferred choice is Lactose Free Skim Milk and I've used that since 2011. Every so often I end up using the Lactose Free full fat milk because of shipping delays from Australia (the two long life brands are from Australia & there's a local fresh one that's more expensive). I very occasionally, like once a year might have a lactose free chocolate milk but as I'm not a huge chocolate lover I tend to not bother

I rarely drink any kind of milk. Even less than I eat dairy free cheese and ice cream, and I don't do those much either. I have avoided dairy since 2008 (lactose intolerant) and have tried a lot of alternatives. Before I became vegan I didn't have much use for them though. I stopped liking boxed cereal around a decade and a half ago and the only thing I drink much is water. But in the last few years, I've actually used more milk -- almost exclusively soy milk -- because I make chia pudding, I use it in oatmeal, I like to get chai lattes after my walks sometimes, etc. and soy milk is my choice because it's the most nutritious. I love the flavor too. I get unsweetened . . . though I have enjoyed some chocolate almond milk a few times. After soy milk, my distant second-place kind I use is oat milk, only because that's the one my husband and dairy-allergic child prefer, so it's also always in our fridge. We don't even buy cowmilk anymore since my oldest kid moved out, even though my husband and youngest are capable of digesting it still. They've never been big milk-drinkers either. My husband only uses it for smoothies and my youngest kid prefers his dairy in the form of cheese pizza and ice cream.

I'll use milk in cream of wheat, some types of protein smoothies, and recipes that call for it. The only time I really want a glass of milk by itself and not as an ingredient in something else is when I'm having chocolate chip cookies. It still goes well with those IMO

Do you drink milk? No. I can't remember the last time I just drank milk.

Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else? Meh. I don't really use any of them unless they are going in a recipe. And then I use skim cow's milk.

Plain or flavored? I used to love strawberry milk.

Do you drink milk? Straight milk, nope.

Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else? I do keep cow milk in the house since I mix it with Carnation Instant Breakfast for my morning drink. I also use it in cooking or when I do eat cereal.

Plain or flavored? I will admit that I do like Chocolate milk and there have been times that I have had that around to drink. But that is no longer an option since I can't have anything chocolate anymore.

Do you drink milk? Nope just use it in smoothies and cooking
Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else? Almond
Plain or flavored? - unsweetened

I very seldom drink regular milk, but I keep 2% in the fridge for my mother. She uses it on her cereal every morning, and I use it for cooking. I remember the milkman delivering those glass bottles of milk every morning! We had a metal milk box on the front porch, and that is where he put them. My mother-in-law's family used to own a dairy farm many years ago.

Do you drink milk? Only in my tea and coffee
Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else? I enjoy full fat cow's milk.
Plain or flavored? Just plain for me.

We go through lots of milk in our household of three adults.

We eat lots of cereal between us (when I was little my dad would have a bowl of cereal for supper as well as breakfast so I guess I picked up the habit there and passed it down!).

I like milk based items such as cream and custard (mixed together in a trifle is perfection).

I also have the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser (my daughter bought me my own after I had bought her one for Christmas but which she took with her when she moved out. This is a little machine which heats and froths your milk and you add flavoured chocolate or coffee to it. We have lots of different flavours of those/

https://www.hotelchocolat.com/uk/shop/collections/products/the-velvetiser/

I will sometimes just heat up a mug of milk in the microwave too as a bed time drink.

I used to drink lots of milk shakes when I was little (remember Nesquick?) and me and my daughter will occasionally have one out in a cafe. We also really like the McDonald's Vanilla milkshakes, although we only very rarely have those as we only have a McDonalds once or twice a year.

We just have normal cow's milk, green top - ie semi-skimmed milk.

I don't drink milk straight up but I do have it in my coffee (otherwise it's too acidic for my stomach). About once a week, we have a night at my house called "every man for himself night" where everyone just gets their own dinner. I often just grab a quick bowl of cereal for dinner on that night.

I only cook with Milk if I am baking.. I normally eat cereal dry or have some with my yogurt.

Do you drink milk? I don't drink it alone but I love it with baked goods - nothing better than a warm chocolate chip cookie and milk! I also have it occasionally with cereal.

Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else? Cow milk, usually 2%

Plain or flavored? just plain! I have a couple kids who love strawberry milk - my oldest son buys strawberry syrup to mix in

Do you drink milk? No but my oldest is a huge milk drinker. I have a hard time keeping it stocked for her!

Cow? Oat? Almond? Something else?
Cow’s milk upsets my stomach so I prefer unsweetened coconut milk from a carton when I want a bowl of cereal. I will also use almond milk but I like the flavor of the coconut milk better. I also use cow’s milk for recipes.

Plain or flavored?
I don’t like the vanilla milks so I get plain unsweetened.

The only thing I really bake is Amish Friendship Bread and I do that 2 or 3 times a year. I can't keep a starter going very long because I just don't buy milk often enough lol.

I'm not sure I've ever tried lactose free milk. I've never liked milk enough to even look at alternatives.

I haven't tried soy milk. I went with oat or almond when I started doing the overnight oats, but maybe I should try soy.

I'll use milk in cream of wheat, some types of protein smoothies, and recipes that call for it. The only time I really want a glass of milk by itself and not as an ingredient in something else is when I'm having chocolate chip cookies. It still goes well with those IMO
That's really the only time anyone in my house drinks milk - with cookies lol

My youngest LOVE strawberry milk, but he probably hasn't had any since he was in school because I never buy it lol.

My youngest LOVES carnation instant breakfast, so if I have milk in the house its mostly for that reason...especially since he leaves for work so early in the morning.

I prefer the unsweetened almond as well. And now I want a smoothie lol

How cool about the dairy farm and remembering the milkman. I was trying to remember if we ever had milk delivered when I was really little, but I don't think so.

Do you drink milk? Only in my tea and coffee

Tea is something I never even think to put milk in. My mom loved it. I only put it in iced coffee...my hot coffe must be black lol

I do like a bowl of cereal as a night time snack, but I have to really think about buying it and milk lol. I do love that milk frother!!
Oh yes, I remember Nesquick! We had it all the time when I was younger. It was the only way I'd drink milk.

Haha I call it "fend for yourself night"! It's my favorite night of the week!!

Dry cereal is a favorite snack of mine. I have not tried cereal with yogurt, but that sounds really good!

My granddaugther loves it and is usually disappointed when she comes over and I don't have any.
I'm not a fan of the vanilla milks either...I prefer plain, unsweetened.

I wouldn't say it's much different to normal milk, might be a tiny bit sweeter but that's it. The only downside is, it isn't a common option available at cafes etc (I've seen it as an option at one coffee bar at a grocery store in another city which has now closed down) so I miss out on hot drinks when I'm out
