Hi Everyone, It’s time for the MAY CHALLENGES! This month I’m hosting the RANDOM challenge, and we’re going to go big in impact with mini photos! There are lots of great pages that use teeny tiny photos and it always amazes me how those small photos have such presence on the page even though they take up very little realestate. I wonder of it has something to do with the fact that you have to stop and take your time viewing the photo rather that glancing and taking it all in in just a fleeting moment. Either way mini photos grab me and are totally worth noting so I thought it would be fun to actually create a page with this in mind. Here are some artistic examples in a PINTEREST ALBUM I pulled together to help inspire you with achieving this look. CHALLENGE CRITERIA: Use a minimum of 1 MINI PHOTO on your page. Maximum size would be no bigger than a passport photo on a 3600x3600 page format but you can go smaller. Standard Passport Photo dimensions include: 2inch X 2 inch or 2inch X 3inch You can use any orientation (landscape or portrait) so long as the dimensions listed above are the largest you go. Here’s my page, you can see I have two mini photos varying in size but are smaller than the sizes listed above in the criteria. They almost look like postage stamps. As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the MAY Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see your impactful mini photos in action!
