MAY ART JOURNALING CHALLENGE!!!

I gave it a try! Well, let's be honest, I gave it a lot of tries. And after about an hour I seemed to understand the proportions of a face. (okay I used a photo as a reference but I'm sure that's fine) and I read the forum and the tips of retracing the lines to the place where you want to start again. So in the end I'm pretty proud of my end result! :)
Now I'm off to scrap a page! :D

OK OK, I did it. After about 10 attempts, I figured this was the best one. The only thing that really bugs me are those lines on the face from where I couldn't pick the pencil up!!!! Yeah, I know, it is a "Continuous Line Drawing" but they still bug me!!!

Wooooo hooooo - you thought you could- you thought you could; YOU DID!

I cannot believe how long it's taking me to learn how to do this. I'm on about try #15. But I'll get there. Dammit.

BLUE

This was the most difficult challenge I’ve taken on in a long time. I learned many new skills: how to draw a face that looks like a face without taking pen from paper; how to draw a face simple enough to manage the next step; how to select an area of the page with the magnetic lasso tool; how to paint the selected area; how to choose colors that don’t give me a headache when all together.

The paper is from Lynn-Marie; the font is For The One Hundreth Time.

HOPE

For the May 2016 Art Journal Challenge. Elements from Tangie Baxter, Paula Kesselring, Quirky Heart, Lynne-Marie, Sahlin Studio, and Rebecca McMeen.

This is one that I gave up on sometime ago. Then I went back and messed with it some more. The original sketch was in my journal & got overlaid with notes from my dream interpretation class.
