Hello! Welcome to this months random challenge - a challenge YOU get to build! Well, sort of...as long as you leap along the row. This month is a bingo challenge of sorts that I am calling the layout leap pad! Use the layout leap pad card below and "hop" from square to square in one straight row. Your row can be across, down, or diagonal. Use each item listed in each square in the row of your choosing to create your layout. Once you've done that - you are done! You can add in more items than listed in the row, but at a minimum you need to follow one complete straight row for this challenge. Please indicate which row you followed when you post your challenge in this thread. Some items are specific, some are open to your creativity. Have fun with it! Here is my layout for this challenge: I chose to use the diagonal row from top left to bottom right: six lines of journaling, hashtag it, free choice (I chose paint splatter), in the pocket, and stamp it: on the photo. Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
that's too much fun! Can I do more than one? I did the middle horizontal line Little stuff that matters - my little girl, stapled - lace, dots - paper, vellum - circle + stitched photos
Excellent. Center row down. My free block is the sun element on the side of the photo and some paint..
Of coarse you can! So happy to hear it is sparking your creativity. Use it to make as many layouts as you desire. And I love the layout you made - and so quick! Great job!
It is a drop shadow that is curved. I don't know other programs, but in photoshop you are able to manipulate the shadow with the warp tool. You can also use the smudge tool to pull out and modify the shadow a bit so it makes things look more curved or lifted off the page. There is a wonderful tutorial here for warping a shadow using the distort tool.
I did the second column from the left - warped shadow, hashtag it, staple it, define it, and I see flowers. I'm hoping the flowers in the picture count, but if not, there are flowers in the blended paper.
