Micheline Lincoln is our daily crush!

This event isn't a traditional CHALLENGE in that there aren't any real rules. It's just...Scrap with the featured designer! It’s a fun event to just scrap with products from a fave designer or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers!


Today we are going to play with Micheline Lincoln's designs. If you’re not familiar with her, go have a look at her amazing store here. Micheline is one of the reasons that I started coming out of my C&S style. Her kits just drew me in with all of their painty, artsy, mixed media, grungy goodness. Each and every kit that she puts out I just want to get my hands on it and use it right away!!

I asked Micheline a few questions to get to know her better. Read below to see what makes her who she is!!

1. Where do you call home?
I currently live in Nova Scotia, Canada but Ontario is my home I was born and raised there

2. What inspires your designs?
What inspires me and helps me to create often are magazines, home ones surprisingly lol and children's clothing often give me idea's.

3. Do you have a signature style?
I am not sure if I have a signature style, I prefer my designs a little messy and def. realistic. I also love to include Mixed Media into my designs.

4. What is your favorite kit you have designed?
My favorite kit I've designed is 35mm over 10 years ago, my newest one is a revamp of that kit called 35mm Remix

5. Do you have any other hobbies?
I do have many hobbies, I like to paint, paint pour, read, draw

6. How would you describe yourself?
I am a very quiet introvert, you'll probably find me at home spending time with my family over going out.

7. Tell us one thing that you want us to know about you.
That my customers and CT girls mean the world to me, when they reach out to me it makes my day, sometimes we as designers are our worst critic so that message makes a world of difference. So I'd like to thank all of you.

This kit was perfect to covey my daughter's struggle with anxiety.
The paint, messiness, grunge...all match her feelings (and mine) as she battles.
