Our last most amazing buy £10 each, with a month of filters, free delivery (in the UK) Bought in Amazon, took 3 days to arrive only........we had it now for almost 2 weeks I think & both love it!!!!
what I love the most about it is that, though is plastic, doesn't look or even feel like plastic...I actually thought it was glass and was surprised as to how light it is!!!!!

this is our great little buy for this month.

Have you bought anything small but great? or even not that small but something out of the ordinary that makes your life easier?

For my birthday last week we bought me a Slow Cooker. Just a nice cheap one, no fancy additions, it just does the job. It is so wonderful! We used to have one and in the winter months it is just divine having delicious stew or soup cooking all day long.

Now that summer is here, I am appreciating my butter crock even more! No melted butter ;)

As far as a new buy, I picked up two double insulated water bottles. I love that they keep water cold all day long! Yours looks cool @MrsPeel ! Mine is boring steel.

mmm Sarita may need one of those in a couple of weeks !!!! I hope it gets warmer here!!!

This!!! I love my water ice cold, but hate when the cups sweat. And I am not a fan of those big plastic tumblers that everyone seems to like. These are by Hydroflask and come in several colors! Granted they aren't too "cheap" but it was worth it to me!!! This will keep your water cold with ice for over 24 hours!

I love this. I am a total addict of icy cold water. My Best Buy is one of those big plastic tumblers because it will keep the ice for 12 hrs overnight next to my bed, and yes, doesn't sweat or spill, but I may be switching to the type you have, although I'm not that keen on metal cups.

I have a similar bottle to Cynthia - the pink plastic kind though, i lost my first one on our Hong Kong trip last year but it was worth the second small great buy to get another one http://store.brita.com.au/product/fill-go-filter-classic-bottle-3-pack/
I just bought a multi-USB thingy (so it plugs in one port but you can plug 4 things into it) - worth the 20 bucks to stop having to change out plugs all the time (i know the benefit of cloud storage is less plugs but to some extent i don't trust the Cloud...)
DH's recent best small buy was some trays of pork with the wrong labels on them so instead of $10/kg pork he bought 'pork bones' at $3/kg from the supermarket - not quite the same but still ;)

My great little buy is something I heard about years ago..probably via a Pampered Chef party. I cook a lot and like to cook and am a great garlic smasher. So I thought this was just a gimmick. However I saw it recently in Dollar Tree - TWO for $1. I figured what the heck... it's the green roll that looks like a fake cannoli. IT WORKS GREAT!! Shove a couple of cloves in and roll around hard and all the garlic paper skin comes off!! Clean clean choppable garlic with no garlic skin to pick off your fingers. And the price can't be beat. (My daughter is getting the spare one.)

I consider this one a birthday present to myself --- an external flash for my camera! B&H Photo sent me an email with an One Day only sale on Bolt external flashes (retail $189, regularly $149 - one day $79). Plus I had a reward certificate for about $25 from B&H. Shipping was free! So a new camera flash for $54. It came and I love it!!! Not the strongest one but you can't beat the price - and the difference over the built-in flash is amazing!!

This may sound silly, but one of my best "bang for your buck" purchases was for 6 "chip clips" for a dollar at the dollar store. We are ALWAYS losing those clips, so 6 for a buck is a good price. I've gotta keep Goldfish crackers and cereal and pasta bags closed and the food fresh! :)
And I got my hair cut last Saturday. I got it done at the teaching school nearby and it was $12 for the cut. While that's not a household item lol, it was a great deal and I love my cut! Saving money makes me happy!

Last year I got a little red ice cream maker for $17 at Michael's. All my small appliances are red, so it was perfect. 8yo Brody has already been asking if we can make his creations. He wants to make Berry Blast ice cream with strawberries & blueberries.
For my birthday in April, I bought myself a little refurbished elph directly from Canon. It was less than $40. I got a 99 cent lanyard off eBay & I've already taken a couple of thousand pics since April.

My best deal lately was the purchase of my Dyson V6 stick vacuum. I mean, NO WAY would I ever pay $499 for a vacuum!! But after the sale price, a coupon I had, some credits that had built up etc etc etc, I ended up paying $179 for it-----and I LOVE it!!!!! SOOOO easy to handle and wow, does it ever clean!!!!

My big spend at 50% off mind you was some food storage containers (7) and a microwave steamer for $20

that is a GREAT thing!! we also have tons of containers food storage, as we are only us, there is always food left and we stick it in the fridge Sarita can take stuff to work or I eat the day after...as a matter of fact, I love buying things for the kitchen...anything for the kitchen ...is our shopping heaven LOL

oh I heard about these thingies!!!! I just wasn't sure it would work...but you are right at that price... I would try find one...I use a lot of garlic and always end up suffering later I peeled garlic and forgot and stuck my hands in my eyes LOL love the color of this one, so fun!!!

oh that is amazing Justine!!!! super great deal!!!! and yes, I usually have my DSLR set to no flash at all...I really dislike the in built flash!

that isn't silly AT ALL!!!!!! I love the pound store, we had one that was called the 99p store that what my favorite, huge, layed out like a supermarket with aisles for everything...and all £1 I have gotten so much amazing stuff in those stores... we also have some stuff in bags and we use clothes pegs sometimes, sometimes those little wire ties covered in plastic., those are good for the freezer! and the hair cut is a great deal, and usually you get people trying to make an effort in the schools, I love that.
We have a place here near us, in the high st, it is originally a barber, hair cuts for men £6 and for women was £10. We would go, sit in the queue, and whoever was free next was taking the clients. I had great hair cuts there, until couple of years ago Sarita started venturing in cutting the friend's hairs ...she did mine, at first I cried because I thought she cut too much but then I loved it, since then, she is my private coiffeur!!! LOL

We had an ice cream maker we bought for £3 at a car-boot sale (like garage sale) it was a great buy but was so difficult to take apart, wash & put together we ended up re selling it! now...have you seen photos of our kitchen here???? LOVE red!!!!!!!! I'm thinking about the berry ice cream and I'm gonna need to eat soon!!!!!
what is an elph? I mean I know what Elfs are, but never heard of that term on photography?

that is a great thing.... we had years and years of buying cheap ones and always ended up broken, this house is hair all over...so they got clogged and stopped working. Until a carer I had mentioned the Henry, is a very funny one, that apparently all big commercial films use, and it lasts for many many years...so we bought it, I think 2011... still going marvelously, we just got the girly version, Hattie

I found some amazing buys at the opportunity shop (donated goods) - 2 wool hats, a water filter bottle like @bellbird has (I already have one but at $2 I couldn't resist), a large drink jug, a microwave meal plate for $12.50 total.

that's amazing....we do a lot of shopping in those kind of shops, we call them Charity Shops as they are usually for some kind of organization: we have Cancer Research, Help The Aged, Scope, Oxfam though I don't like buying from them as people say most of the money doesn't go to the people they are supposed to be helping.... I dressed Sarita since she was a baby with stuff I would buy in shops like these ...Gap and even Moschino kids outfits for pennies!!!!
I haven't been able to leave the bed much lately so it's been a long time...oh now I want to go shopping!!!!!!:heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

Estimated Locations of Pattern Hits
It's Canon's hybrid auto focus. In Europe it was the IXUS. Just a little point & shoot, but great for the price.
As for ice cream, I have my late grandfather's recipe for coco-macadamia nut ice cream. He made the best ice cream & I really would love to have some again.
