Little Great Buys

My best little buy is kind of ridiculous, but I was really excited about it at the time because I never find good deals. I went to the grocery store the other day to pick up some boneless skinless chicken breast. I grabbed the package and the label said it was $0.59 a pound!!!! I thought it was a misprint, but it wasn't. Normally, for the cheap stuff, it can be up to $4 a pound, and if you get a sale it can be as low as $1.99 a pound. But only $.59 a pound? Unheard of. I bought four packages. I probably would have bought more, but I didn't have a cart, I didn't want to be a hog, and I wasn't sure about freezer space. But it was insane. I told the lady behind me in line. She got out of line and went back to grab some. Apparently the store did an incorrect order and needed to unload it. It was just my lucky day. My meat-loving hubby was quite excited about it.

It's Canon's hybrid auto focus. In Europe it was the IXUS. Just a little point & shoot, but great for the price.
As for ice cream, I have my late grandfather's recipe for coco-macadamia nut ice cream. He made the best ice cream & I really would love to have some again.
ohhh I got one!!!!!!!! LOL I was actually going to say I heard about it...then tell you why I bought my Cannon point and shoort in 2012...when I go look at the camera, it says IXUS 220 HS
:giggle
maybe I should investigate the power of it?
I know it takes quiet good pics, we bought it on an offer when Sarita was going to Israel in 2012 and I got her the DSLR... my Nikon D40 is very heavy and I wasn't able to carry it around anymore so much, so I wanted a small camera that I could take with me everywhere...the difference between the price of it on the offer and the specifications of the next one down on price made it a really good buy... but I tend not to read about the possibilities, just...literally point & shoot LOL (and mine is red!!! LOL)

that is an AMAZING price for chicken breast!!! I cook a lot with those, and it is the most expensive way of chicken here... you can buy a whole chicken for £3 (even cooked!) but the price of boneless chicken breast is similar: depending on the supermarket it goes from £4 for 4 pieces to £8... so I would have stood in line and asked my neighbor for space in their freezer!
that reminded me...

I have a similar bottle to Cynthia - the pink plastic kind though, i lost my first one on our Hong Kong trip last year but it was worth the second small great buy to get another one http://store.brita.com.au/product/fill-go-filter-classic-bottle-3-pack/
I just bought a multi-USB thingy (so it plugs in one port but you can plug 4 things into it) - worth the 20 bucks to stop having to change out plugs all the time (i know the benefit of cloud storage is less plugs but to some extent i don't trust the Cloud...)
DH's recent best small buy was some trays of pork with the wrong labels on them so instead of $10/kg pork he bought 'pork bones' at $3/kg from the supermarket - not quite the same but still ;)

I love the USB extension!!! I had not used it for a while but now that I'm moving things on the new computer I will need to....
another GREAT buy in technology was (way back, 5 years ago at least) a memory card reader.... it was £10 and it is still going and amazing, so I don't need camera cables around...
is exactly this one

@MrsPeel Once again, great minds think alike! I wanted red, but that was $80. Silver for less than $40 is just fine by me. I have it on a Lilo & Stitch lanyard anyway, that gives it some personality. :)
