June means.... | Pad Patter 6.2

one more month until allergy season is over
schools out
and loads of events for the boys!
 
Ahhhh glorious June!!!
June is:
My birthday (tomorrow!!!!)
No more snow until October (I hope!)
Planting my garden
Digging out all the outdoor furniture
Putting away winter clothes and getting out summer clothes
Watching everything come to life ---- and bloom.
The outdoor concerts start up.
Looking forward to the dog days of summer!!!!

Seriously??? You are a June 5 baby?? Me too!!! That is great! I have a "twin" sister that is 8 years younger. She was born on my birthday, which is 9 months from my parent's wedding anniversary - wink wink.

Insanity.

It's not as bad this year with DS out of high school, but it means competitions, ice shows, practices, rehearsals... ad nauseaum. This year is no exception with DD having to leave school a week early to attend Theater On Ice Nationals in Indiana during the week of finals. That means she needs to take her finals early, take the ACT, attend practices, do two ice show performances and one send-off performance, and pack for a month at camp (backpacking in the Wyoming backcountry) all before leaving for Nationals.

I have always been of the opinion that the month of June and all its activities should be struck from the calendar.
 
June means....

A little lighter on the school work (testing June 14th so we are still going strong until then!)
School Testing
More Pool/Creek time
Father's Day
1 Birthday
VBS
Being a little more relaxed (after school testing)
Have I mentioned school testing yet? (this is pretty much all that's on my mind right now)

Looking forward to the 4th of July
Fathers Day
Watching the dew point to see if the monsoon season is here yet
Dust storms
Big, beautiful cloud buildups to the east of us
Wishing for rain to come
Wishing for evening lightning storms
Watching our Arizona summer settling in for sure
Staying inside and keeping cool
 
June means my birthday! I'm super excited this year because hubby bought us tickets to see Hamilton!! Two more nights!!:byay
 
June means the end of the year is near... Just a few more weeks... (teacher here)
June means sunshine and warm weather
June means t-shirts and summer jackets and Converse
And of course June also means Pride Month :love

There's a party or celebration for every little thing that happened during the year. (too much in one short month! ugh!)
School is winding down and state testing/finals for the kids
Sports and activities are done by the end of the month
Summer vacation starts at the end of the month
Should be lots of warm sunny days - but not too hot, but instead it is nothing but cool rainy days everyday!

It's such a busy month ... I just hope the sun comes out more often!
 
June means the start of summer break and finally having a little downtime for the whole family. Bike rides, ice cream, beach time, fish fries/BBQs. I love summer. sigh. :)
 
Basketball. There's other stuff like Father's Day and summer camps but mainly basketball. Practices, games and lots of driving for my son. I work full-time so weekdays are still routine except it's not school but summer camps for mornings.
