Journaling text ideas

Make sure you have the right tool selected when you right click

 

Ok so i would think it is the text tool when you right click or the marquee? What tool is the right tool @lorryfach ? Thanks for clarification !

 

Yes, the text tool. If you have the text tool selected and it's not working, then you must be in the middle of writing something?

 

I did have the text tool and yes was in the middle of writing so I will try again. will let you know/.. thanks

 

@lorryfach I got it now... you have to highlight the layer and right click the text layer in the layer pallet to convert to textbox. Thanks!

 

I've never done it from the layer palette, but it's good to know that also works!

 

I tried using the pen tool but was not successful. I ended creating text boxes as I wanted to get the layout finished and up. After reading your instructions again, I may not have closed the shape properly. I'll have to try again. This is something I would like to learn. I appreciate your taking the time to do the tutorial.

This layout could have been made by me!! Same sentiments!! I'm an oddball too!!

 

Ok, im in shock I did this!!!! I made a few shapes that were pre-loaded into my program. Most were black shapes and when I used them it left the black shape with the text path. I chose a clear shape and wrote in it and it worked! It still had the line under the lettering, so I just clicked the little eye next to it in my program, and it made it invisible. The text paths I have on my Paint Shop are arrows and speech bubbles, so Ill need to do some hunting for others I can use. I REALLY want the paths that look like small hills and things that are easier to read.
