January 6: Dispersion (Technique Challenge)

I was pretty sure this was going to end MOC for me...lol. But I got it done.

 

Normally I love the technique challenges, but this one just isn't my cup of tea, I guess. Nevertheless, it will go in my photo-album!

 

I did a thing!!! YAY!! Thank you for the fun and interesting challenge, Jan!! It was good to push boundaries and try something new!

 

Great challenge - definitely a challenge - but, I learnt a new technique!!

Day 6: Dispersion Technique

Playing with the dispersion technique was really fun, it was a bit more difficult turning it into a layout. This ball is suspended in mid air near the waterfront in Wellington, NZ.

Even with the AWESOME instructions, it took me a couple tries to get this. Once I figured it out, it was pretty fun! I'll have to see what other photos I can get to play with!

 

I hope I've done this right!!
I took my image out of the background, framed the background, made my image pop out of the frame, then clipped extra background to a splatter to make it look like they're jumping out of a painting or something haha
I like how it looks but not 100% sure Ive followed the challenge right!

This one was really hard one for me. Finally understood to do something after seeing the video. TY for that. but fun to do. TY for this "challenge".

 

Well I definitely struggled with this one and still did not get a successful image! After smearing the image and brushing it when I put them together it left a distinct line between my picture and the dispersion. Not sure what I am doing wrong so right now this is as good as it gets. Hope it is ok!

 

I am not sure about those flowers; they seem too big for the photos.

Looking at my dispersion photo, I might have been a little heavy handed with the brush -- it almost looks like I'm trying to scratch out that other girl -- so maybe those flowers can be a distraction! LOL

 

For the challenge, I had to use a mask and fill it...I use an old program (Microsoft PhotoDraw- it is obsolete) to scrap and am unable to do the effect as stated, Hope that is ok.

 

Hope it is clear enough to see the effect

 

I hope this is good enough... I've never used brushes before either so there is a LOT of learning on this page!
