January 4: Blending Photo Technique

Such a fun challenge and I love how it got me back into practicing blending techniques. Thanks so much for this one Christa!

Thanks for always inspiring me to play more with blending Christa. :)

Any shape is fine Liz. I have that noted in step 10:

10. Make a Rectangle shape using the marquee tool, and flood fill (using the paint bucket tool) with any color over the b/w photo that you want to have framed and pop out. I am using the rectangle marquee over the area of the tree in the window. (Fill the marquee rectangle using the paint bucket tool with any color as your foreground. You will be clipping your photo to this area.)

[Note: If you choose to use a custom shape that is fine too. You can use whatever shape you want as long as it is over the b/w photo and framed.]

Enjoy!
Thanks... someone else answered for you earlier... I was busy all day... Ended up going with a rectangle after all... it seemed to work the best... I had read the requirements, but had not focused on the step by step, because it was something I already knew how to do... Cool Challenge!

Thank you for the fun challenge, Christa, and for the detailed instructions of how to, they were a big help, and as for those short cuts,... that opened a whole new world to me.
Yay re the shortcuts Kerri! Glad I could give you extra tips!
