I will have to play with this technique q bit more but hopefully this is good enough for now. I love some of the others results though!!!! Awesome!
Boy, this pushed my buttons! Haha! I have been grumbling at this challenge since I saw it because it is so out of my normal scrapping style. But I remembered these two photos and right away I picked the blue and green, inspired by a "vintage colour palette" and I really REALLY love it!! Thanks so much for the challenge!!!
*for my duotone, because I do not have PSE, this is what I could create with my SBC+. I wanted the blue for the water spray that he was doing.
I just returned home from a week away so I haven't had much time to play with this in Artisan 5. Here's another way I came up with that I thought I'd share with everyone, although it isn't two color, but it's the closest thing without just doing a color wash and what @AlannaH showed everyone earlier. I added a color photo onto my page, then I right clicked on the mouse and chose effects->edit->add an effect->blend. I chose the brownish-orange color for my blend, then chose subtract for the blend mode, moving the opacity towards 100%. And this is what I got. As you can see it's three-color, but I love the effect it gives. Here is the original: So, just something that you can play around with.
I don't know that this was the right photograph, but I had a lot of fun with the technique! I will play more! MOC7-January26-DuoTonePhoto by tlcd1961 posted Jan 30, 2019 at 9:05 PM
MOC7 - Jan 26 - Duotone Oh my! This challenge was difficult as I couldn't find a picture with simple clean lines - but I think it turned out pretty good! All elements from May, July, October 2017 and Jan, April 2018 Storyteller files.
