January 22: Geometrical Mosaics (Technique)

Great work all!

Remember to include your original photo along with your layout.

You don't have to have odd shapes. Since I do not know every software, there is flexibility in how you achieve the mosaic. There can be squares, circles, triangular, or irregular.

Step one of the directions explains this:
1. Create a geometric mosaic out of an image. The geometric mosaic can be square, circle, triangle or irregular like my example.

If we do find a way to figure it out, I will add it to the second post. Sometimes, playing with the software or mixing effects you find ways to the same end result.

I realized that but didn't want someone else to think they were doing something wrong in PSP since it will not generate the odd shapes the PS does. FWIW, the effect is not nearly as stunning with squares or rectangles which is all I found it to do as it is with an irregular shape. I do hope that someone else that uses PSP and is more advanced than I am can figure out another way to do it though.

If we use the original photo as well as the mosaic version of it in our layout, do we need to post the photo separately?

Cool challenge and I love what everyone has come up with so far ... will give it a go when I get home tonight :)

Sorry, that I forgot to post my image. I used just the beach one for the Mosaic. Thanks Jenn for the help with this.My original post is #37

Do we need to use the whole mosaic or can we use a part of it only?
Just a part is ok... just get the 1/4 part of the page in of any section of your mosaic. Then, when posting, include your original image. Let me know if you have more questions. :)

Sorry, missed this previously. Yes, please. For consistency.
