January 18: Recipe (Random Challenge)

@umyesh and @lou - YAY! I checked with the boss and yes you can use the same layout to count for both the MOC challenge and the speed scrap. However, you MUST ATTEND the speed scrap chat portion and post your layout (meeting all the requirements) in the speed scrap thread by the deadline in order to get the speed scrap participation prize.

Hope to see ya'll at the speed scrap today.

I used a Just Jaimee template that had a lot of circles (the ones with the stripes, too) for the shapes. @keepscrappin let me know if it doesn't work. The two stars and washi tapes are my 3 elements. There is a star scatter and wordart in the top corner. All from Just Jaimee.

Wow @Eyeore - you are quick!!!!

This one sounds a little complicated.

It's easier than it looks. Just take it one step at a time and you'll do great. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have and I'll be doing a speed scrap in a couple of hours for this challenge and can help you there too. See first post for speed scrap info.

Here is my layout:

1. Solid background - must still be able to see some of it when your layout is complete - checked
2. 1 Big Photo - checked
3. 1 or more shapes of your choice - checked (hexagons)
4. 1 or more word arts - checked
5. 1 scatter - checked (confetti)
6. 3 or more elements of your choice - The shapes, word art and scatter do NOT count as one of your 3 elements - checked (date tab, flower and compass rose flair)
7. Shadow, journal, date or title if you want - NOTHING ELSE PLEASE! - checked

I'm glad to FINALLY get this image/slide scrapped. But it was the scanning of these old slides about 10 years ago that gave me so much grief I gave up on scanning for a while!

The very small quote on the top right is a silent thank you to my ex husband. We really did go places! "the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures'

I hope this one is ok...
I made paint count as an element, but I can remove it if it's not according the rules

1 solid white paper, 1 big photo, 6 heart shapes with patterned paper, 2 word arts, 1 scatter (stars), 11 elements (3 stars, 1 paint, 5 sequins, 2 staples), shadowing (no date or journal)

The paint counts as an element so you're all good, thanks so much for asking though.

I was a little confused by the instructions. It says you can add 3 or more elements, but in the last step it says you can have title, journaling but "nothing else." I'm not really sure what "nothing else" refers to if you can have as many elements as you want.

I like this. I'm a bit behind, but only because I bought so much in Wednesday's sale that it took me two days to download it all and then upload it into my program! :) When I first saw the heading I though 'Oh no, she wants a recipe, I'll have to cook!' LOL On further reading, oh, it's THIS kind of recipe, I can do THIS kind! LOL :)
Me too! I thought it might be a cooking recipe page. This is my kind of recipe!
