January 18: Recipe (Random Challenge)

If we want to participate in the speed scrap, do we need to make 2 different pages or one page for both? I am confused because in the event calendar it says the pages for events can count towards MOC, but then on Tuesday, Rae said we needed a different page for MOC and slow scrap.
Thanks!
I second this question @keepscrappin

I like this. I'm a bit behind, but only because I bought so much in Wednesday's sale that it took me two days to download it all and then upload it into my program! :) When I first saw the heading I though 'Oh no, she wants a recipe, I'll have to cook!' LOL On further reading, oh, it's THIS kind of recipe, I can do THIS kind! LOL :)

Mine , thanks for the challenge. The photo does not show her face , because her family does not want a recognisable photo in open forums.
The shapes are the stars filled with paper, and the WordArt is part of the photo ( the book on the table )

Solid background, 1 Big Photo, 3 round shapes, 1 word art, 1 star scatter,
3 more elements: flower, leaves and a flower with leaves as one element, shadow, date and title.

ooh scatters, not sure I have any as I don’t normally use them
Me as well, Jennifer - no scatters.:huh And solid papers? None from TLP. I'm not a traditional scrapper so none of what I have bought have them. May have to make one. Maybe we'll have an art journal styled challenge in this MOC yet..? :agree

1. Solid background - must still be able to see some of it when your layout is complete. CHECK
2. 1 Big Photo - NO OTHER PHOTOS ALLOWED CHECK
3. 1 or more shapes of your choice CHECK - chevron clipped with paper
4. 1 or more word arts CHECK
5. 1 scatter ONLY CHECK
6. 3 or more elements of your choice - The shapes, word art and scatter do NOT count as one of your 3 elements. Flowers, Bison hexagon, ribbons, string
7. Shadow, journal, date or title if you want - NOTHING ELSE PLEASE! Journal and shadows

Thanks for a fun recipe!

Would a little strip of patterned paper be considered an "element," or is it a "paper?"

Thanks for asking. A little strip of patterned paper would be considered one of your shapes.
See #3. Add 1 or more shape(s) (rectangles, squares, circles, triangles, hexagons, scallops, chevrons) to your layout and fill the shape(s) with solid or pattern paper as desired. These can be paper layers, but I must still be able to see the solid background.

I'm double checking with the boss and will get back to you on this.
