1-16-21 - USING DOODLE ART I used the required doodles (at least 4), added the following elements on top: 2 clouds on top of the rain drops, 2 flowers on the flower doodles and 2 hearts on the border on the bottom. This is a photo of Shelby...she wanted one more maternity shoot and we did that on 1-14-21. It was cloudy, cold, windy and rainy off and on. Her hubby and I did the photos alternating between us and this is one I captured - the city in the background is our downtown area in KC, MO. We took this photo from our famous landmark, The Scout. I used no template and paper and elements out of V. Wibbens, When Skies are Gray.
Oh, this really was a hard one! I loved the challenge, I hated the first layout I made. But went back to the drawing board and it this was what I got instead!
Thank you for the fun challenge and thank you, Little Butterfly Wings for the awesome doodles! It's been almost a year since my last layout. Now I've forgotten how to do everything again so I made it simple. I don't use doodles much but this was fun.
Thanks for the challenge! This was a "tough" one for me- the trickiest part was trying to decide what kind of a picture I wanted to scrap with those doodles!
I LOVED your rainbow mandala and thought it would work with the combination with these pics and the journal card!
I have to say this was very hard, I didn't have any inspiration at first. But then I started playing around and it turned out awesome....featuring the lyrics of a favorite song:
I used the quarter flower doodle as the sun setting in the lower corner on my page, with paper clipped to it and added a shadow so it looks like a diecut. I added one of the vine doodles. I used two of the border floral doodles, and placed dimensional paper hearts over a few of the hearts on the doodle. I also included two of the dot doodles as part of my background art.
Here's mine: Thank you for this tough, but fun challenge! I struggled to get inspired, but once I did, it just came flowing out from there! I am really pleased with the shapes of the photos, which is not a typical one for me, and the ways that I was able to get the doodles to frame the photos and the page. I also am super happy to have gotten my dots on all over the page! I usually add dots like this when I do paint night drawings, but I don't get a chance to do them digitally very often! Over all, I am very pleased with how the page turned out! I also scrapped this in reverse order from what I usually do. I normally start with the pictures and add the rest to match. In this case, the page was nearly complete before I went looking for some photos to fit. It was a different way of going about it for me! Huggles!! ~Sarah~
