January 12: Throwback Photo (Photography Challenge)

I can't believe I am still working on this page... I was one of the first to read the challenge, when it was posted and the first to comment in the thread! Karen's page gave me a quick idea, and I ran with it.. Stayed up till 4 AM that night laying it out... but other than the content no idea what I wanted to do with the page... have been tweaking it ever since... It is an important, to me, page, and I wanted it perfect!!!! Will be posted soon!!! Life did sort of get in the way also!

Oooh... I can't wait to see what you come up with! :)

Also, I totally understand about life getting in the way... I am a super busy weekend (youth retreat over night Friday and most of the day Saturday) and then traveled to see my nephew play hockey all day yesterday after church. I didn't have time to do Saturday OR Sunday's challenges yet. Guess I better get to work tonight after work!

I had so much fun looking through old photos, I nearly forgot what I was there for! Thank you for the challenge

Well here it is at long last... Thanks Karen for the thought process... this is something that had currently been on my mind, but If you had not done the comparison you did, I might not have thought of it... since it needed to be so straight forward, and simply laid out, I wanted the background to be special and that is where all the hours have gone.. adding, deleting, tweaking...etc... can't tell you how many times I have thought I was done only to spend another day on it!

I rarely make heritage LOs but I've been wanting to scrap this photo for awhile. It's of my grandparents and their kids with all their college degrees. Technically, it's a photo taken about 6 years ago of the framed collage which I'm guessing was made in the 80s of photos from back to the 50s :rollinI put 1985 as the date overall

I wanted to use a heritage photo, but since I'm snowed in & scrapping I'm using what's on my computer, lol! So photos from my first trip to Alaska in 2008 after graduating from college!

I'm desperately trying to finish up three different Disneyland trip albums, so this challenge is perfect! Unfortunately, Artisan decided to corrupt the album of the page I decided to work on. Gaah! So, I had to fix all that first. But I'm working on it!

In New Orleans during the 1940’s, there were street photographers that would photograph people walking down the street for a nominal fee. I have a few of DH’s parents that I love. This one was taken a week before their wedding in July 1945.
