January 1 - Blind Scrap Challenge

I found this very hard! Hope it gets easier....

1 Photo
2 Frames: Stroke around photo and box for journalling
3 Ribbons: One for date, measure under photo, last is in bouquet
4 Papers: 3 under photo and one as background paper
5 flowers: one in top corner and others bottom right of photo
6 Leaves/Branches: 3 bunches bottom right of photo, 4th top corner, 5 and 6 are stamps top corner
7 lines of journalling
8 3 additional leaf stamps under photo, 2 lines date, 2 corner papers, staple

 


1 photo - large and in charge, centered
2 frames - layered on top in the corner
3 ribbons/bows: polka dot bow, teal ribbon, tree ribbon
4 papers all under photo
5 flowers: all in the top corner: 2 white, 2 blue, 1 red
6 leaves - all in the top corner: 3 green under the white and blue flower; 2 green, 1 silver glittery under the blue glitter flower
7 lines of journaling in white
8 additional: Christmas tree element, bells, blue present, multicolored present, book stack, remember this moment word art, white tag (under ribbons), love sticker

Here is mine .....

Recipe
1 – Photo
2 – Frames (2 Polaroid frames)
3 – Bows (2 black striped bows (1 was shrunk to fit the apple) + 1 yellow spotted bow behind the flowers)
4 – Papers (3 patterned + 1 background)
5 – Flowers ( 2 blue, 1 white, 1 yellow + 1 orange)
6 – Leaves (2 AP Bright Leaves + 1 AP Tweet Foliage, 3 Storytelling leaf (single leaf) = 6 total)
7 – lines of journaling
8 – elements (1 Gold Paint, 1 Ruler, 1 curved stitching, 1 light bulb, 1 wooden Apple + 3 individual gold stars = 8 total)

MOC Day 1: Blind Scrap (product credits in the gallery and personal tracking post)

1 photo, centered on page
2 frames (white chunky frame behind the photo and the wooden circle frame surrounding photo)
3 bows (twine bow on top of tan flower, brown bow, burgundy bow both underneath same flower)
4 papers (painty background paper, 3 layers of paper stacks - brown, cream and floral)
5 flowers (burgundy, tan, yellow, peach and mustard colored flower all on top of wooden frame)
6 leaves/branches (1 large green branch, 1 smaller red-ish/green branch, 2 orange leaves in each flower cluster,1 green leaf under wooden frame, 1 green leaf in bottom flower cluster)
7 lines of journaling (1 is the date in the top right of page, the rest is on the bottom right)
8 additional elements:
1. twig branch in upper cluster over the reddish branch.
2. leaf cluster (it's one piece in the kit) under tan flower, burgundy bow)
3.& 4. yellow butterflies
5. "full heart" heart shaped cardboard cutout
6. small mustard colored flower on white frame
7. chipboard scatter circles on background under white frame
8. wooden circle button with heart stamps in upper cluster

Can't believe I have spent the whole day on this... particularly since I looked at it last night!!! Problem was I had practically NO Lilypad Christmas stuff, so a lot of time shopping!

3. Three ribbons 2 curly Black and White, 1 red velvet
4. Four papers.... three background , one behind top left corner of photo
5. Five Flowers...Three red and 2 white poinsettias
6. Six leaves and branches... three pine sprigs, 2 grey holly behind everything, pine cone
7. Seven Lines of journaling ....Title, Year, +5 lines
8. Eight additional elements... Christmas eve banner, bells, two black spatters, green cluster behind photo right side, two holly and berries on left and right side, holly cluster right side

Someone Just A Few Layouts Above...Commented That They Found This Challenge Hard...I Did Too...I'm So Used To Blending Everything...& I Never Use That Many Flowers Or Leaves In One Layout...Well...Almost Never...It Was Challenging For Me Indeed...But I Persevered...It Took Me A Lot Longer To Complete The First Layout That I Posted For This MOC8 Day #1 Challenge...And I Mentioned That I Wasn't Completely Happy With The Results...So True To My Fashion...When You Don't Succeed As You Felt You Should...You Start Over & Try Again...So I Did...& This Time I Am Soooo! Much Happier With The Result!...Yeah!...

This was really fun.

my solution:

2 distinct frames (one is framing the photo [i removed the graphic from the original frame], the other frame on the left, under the picture)
3 ribbon or bows (2 blue bows under the flower clusters, and a red ribbon under the top right cluster)
4 papers, all layered under your photo
5 flowers (poinsettias)
6 leaves and/or branches (2 green leaves, 2 golden leaves and 2 metal leaves [in the clusters]
7 lines of journaling (my title is actually a WA, i counted it to the journaling)
8 additional elements of your choice (a vellum under the photo, a car, 2 scatters elements, a Christmas tree, a label [top right cluster], 1 arrow [left cluster], and a journaling card [cut out from a frame]).

8. Eight additional elements: Ripped notebook paper, arrows sticker, striped washi tape, brad, yellow flower, staple, word art - all from This and That, background stamp from Kim Jensen Rubdown)

That is A LOT of elements for me - but I had a good time putting it all together :)

5. Five Flowers - note that the rolled paper flower includes two leaves which are not counted in 6 below.

7. Seven lines of journaling, including title
8. Eight additional elements: three butterflies, three buttons, one word strip (cut down to fit space), one paint element
