This is my favorite part of the year! I'm so ready to decorate and watch Christmas movies and listen to Christmas music and make cookies!

But... I am trying, as I always do, to restrain a bit until after Thanksgiving...

Who else gets pumped about all things Christmas? I can't be the only one, right??
:tree

:giggle I think I'm on the opposite spectrum! I'm in the camp that waits. I also wait until after the 7th of December, since my son's birthday is celebrated that day. After that, then I get all cozy and in the holiday spirit. I think over time, I don't enjoy how it's so commercialized and in your face everywhere you go.

I say though, you do you. You make yourself happy and I would tell you not to hold your holiday spirit back at all! Make those cookies, decorate your house and do whatever you like! :) You'll be happier!

I'm in the "bah humbug" category. Rofl. Decorating tires me out just thinking about the take down. I don't like the commercialism of it all. But love the holiday for the cheerfulness and joy of family and friends.

I love Christmastime and seeing all the decorations everywhere....but am really lazy when it comes to decorating myself. I have never put up my own Christmas tree! Everyone thinks this is like a cardinal sin, but I know our cats would have messed with it, and maybe knocked it down....and then the last 2 years I had a little baby/toddler in the house too.

I also love Christmas music!

I want to wait but Christmas is my daughter's birthday and she plays Christmas music year around. I may be decorating the weekend of Nov 17 because we don't seem to have anything else on the calendar.... so I don't have a good excuse to stall her.

I was talking about putting the tree up before Halloween but I am holding off until Thanksgiving. I do hate that Thanksgiving seems to be pushed off as nothing so I am leaving fall decorations up until then.

I say though if the Christmas decorations make you happy go for it.

I have heard of a few people that leave their tree up year round and just add dcorations for the the "season". I am sure that my dog would have a field day with a tree year round. We actually put up a little fence to keep him away from the tree.

I wait until at least the day after Thanksgiving to put up the tree. Although my daughter is already singing Christmas tunes so I think I'll have to restrain her and not me :giggle

I just said today that it's officially started at my house because DH was watching Christmas movies last night. I'm just waiting on him to suggest putting the tree up lol. I'd like to wait a couple more weeks haha

Meh. Not only is there Thanksgiving to think about, but this week is my son's birthday, next week is my daughter's birthday, and the following week is my birthday (not that I do much for my birthday). I was surprised to see the Christmas tree up at the mall on Monday.

Not me. I don't decorate for Christmas. In fact, December is the month I always suffer from SAD. Once New Year's comes, I am much better. Many reasons for it that go back over 25 years.

LOL! So... driving my son to soccer practice at 6:00 in the dark tonight, I see a BRIGHT WHITE LIT CHRISTMAS TREE in the front window of a house. I started cracking up!

We wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate or listen to Christmas music.

But my kids have already started practicing Christmas songs on the piano & we just started practicing our Christmas play at church (I usually direct it). So I feel like we are already getting into it, but not really on purpose.
