I'm soooo angry and frustrated right now

During the transfer between computers I have lost all of my brush sets that I paid for over the years....don't know where they have gone or anything, looked in both computers plus my ehd and they are nowhere to be found......what is more frustrating is I remember transferring them all over yesterday. Many of them I can not get back cause they are past the time of being able to download them.
 
I am talking over a 150 brush sets, many of them from Just Jaimee's Storyteller kits

How are you searching for them in your old/new computer?

I have rescued a few from my win 7 comp from my recycle bin but that isnt all of them by any stretch - maybe 10 at most
 
sorry, did you go between 2 operating systems, i lost things between xp and vista. Now win 8, is deciding to put things in recyle ben, with no logic to it
 
No just from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1

Looked in my ehd which I was using to transfer stuff
Looked in both computers including recycle bins

so I am totally confused as it has been less than 24 hours since I know I transferred them.....sorry if I sound annoyed but I can't afford to replace all of my brushes that I have acquired (most of them bought from either here or from Ali Edwards & Cathy Z elsewhere)
 
I have found about 60 sets or so but still missing around 100 sets, still have no clue what has happened to them
 
any more suggestions as to what I can search because I am really wanting to be finished with the overheating laptop sooner rather than later. All else fails, I will just have to figure out which ones I am missing and plead to digi stores to see if they will reset things for me
 
for Just Jaimee that would come up with everything for example and I have heaps of her stuff so I'm not sure that would be that effective
 
Right off the top of my head I am missing January to August Storyteller brushes from this year and any other brushes I have bought from her over the years that are not Sept-Dec 2014 storyteller ones
 
I found lost folders by typing the name of file in search. Good luck.
 
did you look in adobe system files for any you had installed
 
its not even a folder im missing cause I cut and copied them off my ehd yesterday and installed them right into the brushes folder on my new laptop, now all I have are the default brushes in that folder and none of my bought ones are there

Not sure what you mean by that - I took them out of there on the win7 laptop and put them in to the adobe folder on my win 8 laptop. The only other thing I can think of is that this morning I did a system restore on the win 8 laptop
 
I emailed another store and got 4 years worth of brushes back so now I will just have to figure out what ones I am missing from Jaimee
 
That's a relief that you are getting so many back, Jennifer. How frustrating!

Doesn't system restore change folders back to the point they were at that you are restoring too?

I'm glad you were able to download them again!
