Hello,
Well I am not one to give up and I made several realizations after not being accepted at the last school. For one, I wasn't really following the program and theory that I was most inclined toward. So I tried one more school and after a lot of clarification to make sure I wasn't signing into the long program I am accepted and finally enrolled! School starts Sept 12. This is going to be a little different than my last school so I'm excited.

That is awesome! Sometimes life goals take routes we didn't even think of. Happy news. Congrats!

oh I am excited and oh so nosy, I need more details, but I am cheering for you! wootie woo
What would you like to know?

What changed is from Professional Counselor to Marriage & Family Therapist. They approach things differently. Counseling is more focused on looking at the individual and their thoughts, behaviors, etc. Marriage and family looks at the individual along with the family he grew up in, other groups belong to etc.
I've spent the last year working with a marriage and family Therapist and the changes and breakthroughs I've had have been more than a lot of other counseling I've had.

That's the most obvious question I can think of. Ask away. If it's too personal I'll PM you. But I doubt that.

Having gone through similar, some times 'plan b' works out better in the long run. Congrats & good luck!

Congrats on achieving the next step toward your goal! I am so proud of you for pushing through and not giving up!

Congrats Carilyne! So happy to hear that you ended up in a program that seems to be a much better fit for your goals.
