i don't have a valentine gift....

We don't do V-Day either. I think it's an overrated holiday, and working in the restaurant/hotel business has spoiled me and Dh from the typical V-Day stuff.
 
We aren't big on Valentine's either. This year, we went and visited w/ some friends for a while and for me that was huge! Being chronically ill means I don't get out to do much at all but it was so nice to go visit w/ friends and actually talk to another girl my age in real life! :) And getting to go do it w/ my hubby made even better!! :)

I love Valentine's Day - and my hubby and I do show our love to each other every single day. It always makes me feel bad when people insinuate that just b/c we celebrate Valentine's Day, we don't show love the rest of the year. For us it's just another fun excuse to celebrate each other, and definitely the kids too. Eric got Ella a rose and a card, and we got the kids each a small gift - we like making them feel special too.

This year was the best - he arranged to have MIL take the kids overnight and when I came home from work he met me at the door with a glass of wine. :) He'd set the table with roses and candles and he cooked us supper - fish and chips, a salad, he baked bread, and made cheesecake brownies. I wasn't allowed to help. Then after supper we watched a movie. It was wonderful, just the 2 of us (well, and Gus!) and it was great not to have to fight crowds and just have a quiet night together. With 3 kids we don't get a lot of those so it was nice.
 
I treated myself to some new TLP goodies so I could scoop up that adorable new collab. :) my hubby and I did order take Thai and rented a movie too so it was a nice day.

I'm a single gal so no valentines celebration here. To be honest I would really just like to have a special guy to accept and appreciate me for me but I find it hard to trust anyone after a couple of hellish years when a male was involved in the family when I was 10 years old (I'm 26 now). Never had any interest in guys during high school and those that I connected with during college were just classmates to me.
 
my best gift was flowers and a heart cake from my best friends ..im singel since 4 years now ....but i enyoj every day :-)
