How long have you been scrapping?
Since February 2006
Did you paper scrap first?
Nope! I've been digital from day one.
What got you involved in scrapping/why did you start?
I had an eight week old, a 3 year old, and a 10 year old. Baby books were woefully neglected.
Did you take classes or teach yourself?
My BFF and another friend taught me - via Hello! and Yahoo Messenger (I so miss the Hello! chat platform!)
If you have been part of any designer CTs, when did you start doing that?
I think I started applying to CTs almost immediately. I was surprised to get my first gig at a new store with only a couple of months of experience. The owner later told me she was so happy a newbie scrapper applied.
How often do you scrap?
Right now, I'm scrapping several times a week. I have gone several months without scrapping anything - then a burst of creativity. It's how things work for me. That's why organized projects like ProjectLife, Photo365, December Daily, etc. don't work well for me. However, I do take pictures almost every day and I do write in my journal and/or calendar every day.
How much time do you typically spend on a layout?
This is highly variable. As little as a few minutes if the mojo is really moving... and sometimes it takes days to get a layout "just so".
What is the hardest thing for you about scrapping? The easiest?
Hardest: Finding time. Easiest: I don't know that I find any of this easy.
Do you have a "go-to" technique/place/product/inspiration source to jumpstart your inspiration?
I love to use templates and/or sketches.
What is your favorite thing about scrapping?
I am preserving our family story for the future. I'm freezing time. My children and future grandchildren... I'm leaving a legacy!
How did you come to join TLP?
I don't really know how I originally came to join the site - but I came to be home here recently as a member of Michelle Godin's team. I have followed Michelle as a member of her team for quite a while.
I thought I had answered this previously - but my post was gone... so I must have been interrupted by my children and gave up on a lengthy post.
