Traditional or modern? What's your color scheme? I think I like traditional with a slant towards woodsy/winter cabin

I don't like the traditional colors at all. I actually decorate my tree different every year. I have different sets of schemes. I have blue/silver, purple/gold, and black/white and pink. I also have some purple, magenta and turquoise ones that I can mix with the black and white to change that one. Last year I did the pink ornaments. Then I also wrap the gifts to match. It's an illness.

It's not terribly fancy, but I love when it all matches.

Sorry about the kid. LOL

Here's 2010 and 2009. You'd think I'd take proper pics of this stuff. :rofl

we have the same tree and decorations every year - I like to buy a couple of new tree decos each year though :)

its usually really hot here at Christmas so we keep things simple - green and red colours and lots of cold drinks :)

LOL..I am like Angie and have several sets of tree decorations: traditional red and green, brown and gold, purple and dark blue, green and turquoise but the last 2 years we have had white and anthracite/silver. We only have one tree though...Hahaha

I am really into the Scandinavian look lately. I am thinking just basic Red, White and Gray knitted, felt and/or wood ornaments. I guess you could say it's the rustic look that I like. Oh and maybe I should mention, that these are not my pics but I found them on Pinterest. Last year we bought our first tree realllll tree and it was so nice. Our decorations were lost in it because everything was new and well tree decor can be a tad bit expensive if your starting from scratch :s

We have two trees and two sets of ornaments. One is a traditional green tree with dark blue and silver ornaments, the other is white with candy colours. This year we wont have a tree at all, because all our stuff will be on a boat back to Australia and we will be in Thailand.

Traditional and rustic. I used to get twitchy about pink, blue, teal, etc. being mixed into Christmas but I'm learning to accept it. Though I much more prefer red, green, white, silver & gold.

Mine is just super colorful. Lots and lots of various snowmen ornaments, some rustic tin stars, pretty colored balls, etc. I'd really love to redo it, but every year by the time Christmas is over, I don't want to think about messing with buying stuff in the after-Christmas sales.

I am the un-traditional kind of girl. Our ornaments are fuschia, lime green, turquoise and silver. Lots of odd one-of-a-kind ornaments because I buy one for each of us almost every year. I'm really into the Fisher Price ones lately. I get DD baking-themed or monkey-themed.

I like my Christmas OVER LOL
Carly you're horrible! Whahaahahaha

And Lily that tree is AWESOME!!!!

Here's a photo of our white and athracite decorated tree (and our living room).

Wow, all these fancy decorator trees! Ours is packed within an inch of its life with a colorful explosion of ornaments in every variety imaginable. No theme – just a collection of memories and other stuff we just liked. :)

our christmas decorations are pretty traditional too i think. and eclectic. i like a bit of everything. i have no qualms about things not matching. i'm good with whatever.
we put colored lights (lots of them) on our tree, and about a bagillion ornaments.

I like traditional with a twist of modern. Last year I bought some new stuff for the tree in aqua and I love how it mixes with the traditional red, green, white and silver I already had. I usually do our mantle in white, red and silver with a touch of fake greenery. I'm so excited for Christmas this year!

Love your white tree angie, it looks so cool against your dark wall. I would love to do a white tree but hubby is more traditnal and doesn't like them.
