'Tis the season for setting goals! I was great at setting goals as a child but now I suck at it lol

Do you set goals?
If so, how often?
If not, why not?
If you set goals feel free to share one here and get it down in writing!

Do you set goals?
Not really

If so, how often?
Rarely

If not, why not?
I have ideas of goals but if I remember to write them down I forget where I wrote them so I forget to check in and follow through.

I would like to read the scriptures every day.
I would also like to scrap one page per child each month so I have them all ready to make into custom calendars at the end of the year. Wish me luck!

I kind of set goals, but not strictly. I'm more of an easygoing sort. But I do get caught up in new beginnings, like the beginning of the summer, the school year, and the calendar year, and then I'll start a few things.

One new goal, or perhaps project is a better word for it, I've decided to do this year is track my walking/hiking mileage. Then, periodically, just for fun, I want to make note of how far I could have walked across the globe, what places could I reach with my cumulative mileage. I had a sunrise hike of 4.5 miles this morning through woods beside a lake. If I had walked that far from my house I could have reached our local shopping mall.

I'm not a goal setter except when something needs to be done, then I plan it with intermediate goals if a long task.

I do set goals, usually once a year although sometimes I’ll also do monthly. Honestly, I’m a procrastinator and having a goal makes it much more likely that I’ll actually get something done.

Your mileage project sounds like a great idea Michele. DH is currently running a lot so he's always telling me how many miles he has and it's crazy to me!

I'm a procrastinator too so I'm hoping to set more goals this year to help me get stuff done.

This is me.....if I set goals, either I forget about them or they don't last long.

This is a fun idea for a scrapbook page!

GOAL is a 4 letter word. Maybe if the corporate world hadn't appropriated it for annual reviews, etc. I might be inclined to make some personal goals, but generally, I balk at this. I might have some intentions for the year. Or a general direction I want to go. Some things I'm pondering about. But they don't rise to the level of goals.

Oh, I set them pretty often and then usually miserably fail at them shortly after lol
My only goal right now is to get back to the gym and truly make it a habit.

I’m sorry the corporate world ruined goals for you.

Good luck with the gym! I’m thankful working out is a habit for me now because I eat way too much to not work out lol

Do you set goals? Hmmm... I'd say occasionally?

If so, how often? I don't do new year's resolutions because a goal over that length of time just doesn't work for me. I like to set smaller achievable goals and they usually have more to do with my art, crafting, hobbies or learning than anything else. For instance, I always set a reading goal for the year. :agree

If not, why not? I don't do the resolutions because I know I'll fail. Lol

If you set goals feel free to share one here and get it down in writing! My goal is to finish every challenge for MOC 13! :D

After spending so much time last year trying to get appropriate IEP goals, I almost cringe at the word. (Still not done with the IEP, btw.)

I do, however, have a reading goal. I keep having to adjust it higher because I've been doing a lot of reading while my child isn't sleeping. Last year was 180 and then 200. (I was in the middle of book 202 at midnight NYE.) This year is 210 books, mostly because that neatly fills the reading tracker I'm using.

I also intend to finish MOC again but that's less of a 'goal' and more of a promise to myself.

Good luck with MOC and your reading goal! I'm just taking MOC one day at a time and seeing how far I get lol

Yes, I set myself monthly goals for my healthy routines.
Well, they're the same every month, but I need to write them down in my notebook and at the end of the month I tally up the goals I've achieved. Writing them down helps me take a step back and see whether or not I've achieved my goals.

If you set goals feel free to share one here and get it down in writing!
Every month, I set myself the goal of going to the gym three times a week, going to karate once a week, and walking to pick up my son from school (weather permitting).

Do you set goals?
Sometimes I set goals, some weekly and some monthly.

I write them down in my notebook, this month I'm trying a pixel a day tracker (sleep, reading, no spend, weather, steps etc..) If that work I will continu it for the rest of the year.
