Don't do it! I installed the update and all my shadow styles were off. Every PSD that had shadows were showing way off. I was able to revert back to the last install and it went back to normal thankfully. This is for users on the plan who get the regular updates.
I just heard of a fix if you HAVE done the update... Correct it by going to EDIT > PREFERENCES > PERFORMANCE and then checking the box by LEGACY COMPOSITING From Cheryl at Fiddle Dee Dee... So good to know this!! Thanks Cheryl! @gonewiththewind I am going to wait to try it though, lol.

OMG - THANK YOU!!! This just happened to me yesterday and I thought I was loosing my mind. Not sure why this issue started so late after the update. My first thought was someone at TLP will have answers to messed up styles/shadows.
Maybe, like me, you didn't update right away? Mine had just started doing it last week. I hadn't realized the update had applied. Yeah for TLP having the answers!!!
This is likely what happened. I didn't even open photoshop all of December I've been wondering what happened and trying to manually fix it all - way too much work. So glad this fixed it
I was too! I figured out of you separated the shadow, it looked normal. But that was a lot of work! I'm glad there was an easy fix posted here!!
My shadows are off, too. I think I updated about 3 weeks ago. It’s so annoying. I hope they figure it out soon and fix it with another update.
I’m scared. I haven’t noticed any changes in the last few weeks. Am I the one that’s off or did I just get lucky?
Ugh, mine went wonky, too. The fix that Amie posted in this thread she started helped me. HTH! It took awhile before my shadows went weird! IDK what I did lol! So Berniek, let's just hope you've completely avoided any problems, but just in case, look at the thread I shared above. Cuz I also had a weird problem with Crop show up last week. I totally freaked out about it until I realized how to fix it!
