Freaking out a little - Colonoscopy

Can I say "all's well that ends well?"
Glad you made it through and even better that you got a clean bill of health.

Hope it goes well today (not sure of timezones so it may already be over!) I haven't done that one yet, but I've had to do the yucky prep as I had surgery on my stomach/bowel and it had to be empty. That stuff is nasty!

I'm so glad everything went ok and that the results are good for you! My hubby has to go for his first colonoscopy on Monday, so the prep begins on Sunday for him. He's dreading the prep part for sure and then he's been after me to schedule one for myself, but I'm avoiding it. Lol.

So glad things went well! I can't believe you don't have anesthesia! Goodness, I'd be just like you! Hope you're feeling back to yourself today!

glad to hear all ended well @ninigoesdigi, I can tell you even after 35 almost 36 years of being poked, prodded, tested for almost everything under the sun (I had my first CT scan at 3 days old and my first surgery of many at 9 weeks old) I still get anxious and nervous every time!

I did mine bc of my age they recommended it for the past two years so I finally went in. I opted for the pills to cleanse it was okay, no painful stomach aches and I didn’t sleep much bc I was going up until appointment.
They did put me under, I wasn’t awake for any of it. I was super happy about that
No issues came back so I’m def happy I did it.

I'm glad it's over and everything was ok. It was interesting to hear about how they do this in Japan as here in the US they knock you right out, as others have mentioned.

Low fiber diet a day or two before helps out so much!
