Name a food you dislike that many people love. Name a food you like that many people hate. Be back with my reply when I am more awake

I'd say for hate but everyone loves would probably be avocado, don't love chocolate either to be honest. As far as what I like that everyone would hate.....thats way tougher and I'm not sure I have one to be fair.....if we were going with drinks, it would probably be iced tea....its not super popular here I don't think.

I have very few foods that I hate. One of them is cooked red peppers. I like them raw just fine, but they change to some weird taste texture when they are cooked and I actually will pick them out. I have no problem with cooked green peppers... only red. It completely doesn't make sense to me, but I just can't eat them. :giggle

Not sure about the other way around... maybe jalepenos? I love them and put them on lots of things, especially grilled on my cheeseburgers. Yum!

I dislike a lot of foods others like so hard to narrow it down. Yeah, I'm a picky eater.

However, I absolutely love Lima Beans and I know a lot of people don't. Red beets are another one that many people don't like.

I hate (that most people like) ... steak. I have never liked it. I am plant based now so don't eat any meat at all but even when I did years ago, I never liked steak. I hated the texture, the smell...yuck.

I love (that most people hate) brussels sprouts, all beans, artichoke...yum. Beets are a big fave of mine too.

First "hated" food that comes to mind is "SOS" ... creamed chipped beef. Not a fan of broccoli, which is a bummer b/c so many recipes include it.

I LOVE liver and onions, lima beans, asparagus, and spinach.

LOL, I love "SOS". For a long time my grocery carried it in a small can, just enough for one person. Made for a quick and easy meal after work. But even though they carry the 2 other products under that brand name, they don't carry it. I've even asked about it. Like my mom gravy has never been something I've been good at making so the canned version of it worked for me.

I despise cantaloupe and honey dew, and can't stand to have my delicious watermelon mixed in with those. Please, don't mix the melons people! Their flavors get on the watermelon and other fruit and ruin it.

I love Hawaiian pizza with ham and pineapple, but I know some people don't. I also like syrup on my eggs, and I like to dip my steak in ranch dressing instead of steak sauce.
I know crazy, right :crazy3

Add in the fact I'm sensitive to lactose (for me thats milk, yogurt, cream, ice cream, soft cheese) and garlic means I'm 100% a picky eater too....I must say my stomach prefers that I'm picky....I'd much rather miss out on those foods or find alternatives than deal with the consequences of consuming it.

I did actually think of something that I love that most people don't down here....pumpkin in a sweet form....pie, pumpkin spice latte etc....might be my Canadian roots showing with that one!

LOL ... my middle grandson won't eat mixed fruit, so I always have to serve it in separate bowls, even though he'll eat cantaloupe, honey dew and watermelon.

Rene, I buy frozen "SOS" for my father ... I think it's Stouffer's brand. I'm not a gravy person, so that's one of the reasons I don't like "SOS." Mom made me eat it once, I immediately vomited it back onto my plate ... I rarely toss my cookies, so she knew I truly hated it and it never appeared on my plate again. Actually I think my sisters hated it too. :)

I actually can't stand coffee (can we consider that a food??). People do NOT understand that but really, it has no pleasurable flavor to me. It's just too bitter. If coffee doesn't count, I can't stand to eat ANY spicy foods. My tongue feels like it's on fire, I start to sweat, and I just don't want to eat food that hurts.

What do I like that I know a lot of people don't? Pineapple on pizza. Thick crust, crunchy edged thin pepperoni topped with pineapple. I will eat it until I'm stuffed!

I'm with you on coffee and spicy foods! And, pineapple on pizza.... YES!! The first pizza I got when I could eat it again was pineapple and ham, although I prefer thin crust. I want toppings, not crust when I eat pizza. It had been 4 years since I had eaten pizza and it tasted so good!

@Memaw2Wm, I will eat gravy but not a fan of it. I prefer lots of butter on my potatoes instead of gravy. But I do like both "SOS" and hamburger gravy. "SOS" on toast and hamburger gravy on mashed potatoes.

We pineapples need to stick together!!! I will never understand how people don't get the sweet/salty goodness of having the pineapple on the pizza.

HATE: Cilantro. Tastes like soap. I know there are others that enjoy cilantro, including my sister, but YUCK.

LOVE: Coconut. I'm always surprised when other people tell me they don't like coconut. I love almost anything coconut flavored.

:overreact^^ this. Cilantro/coriander/dhania Hate it, tastes like soap, will pick it out of anything that contains it or avoid it completely. "Coriander is an annual herb in the family Apiaceae. It is also known as Chinese parsley, dhania or cilantro. All parts of the plant are edible, but the fresh leaves and the dried seeds are the parts most traditionally used in cooking." I don't mind the seeds though - it's just the flat green leaves.

Love Brussel's sprouts, asparagus, beetroot etc

There are SO many foods that I can't eat. But I don't like raw onions - never have. I hate when I order a salad and there's a big slice of raw onion on top! Even after i remove it, I can still taste it. I also love pineapple on pizza! The small town I grew up in (Pizza Hut) had that on their menu from the day they opened. You could get it with or w/o sauce. I don't do spicy, so I prefer w/o.

I am a lover of most ethnic foods, Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, Greek, Korean, etc. but I absolutely can't stand Cantonese (the run of the mill regular "Chinese" food that you find so often in North America). I find the syrupy sauces, deep fried, overly salty dishes that pass for Chinese food gross. However, find me a great Szechwan restaurant and I'm happy.

I really don't much like pizza, at all, like your typical pepperoni pizza or anything with the red sauce. I will occasionally eat it if it has a white sauce or pesto base with veggies. I also really hate ketchup. It aggravates me when I'm opening a new bottle for someone and it gets on my finger, because ewwww...can't lick that off lol.

I love greens! Turnip greens, collard greens, mustard greens... with a little vinegar...yum!! I also really like Blue Cheese :)

I don't have many foods that I don't like. I LOVE cooked or sautéed mushrooms but can not stand them raw.

I LOVE all of these foods too! Actually just had brussels sprouts with dinner.
