Flashback Friday

Today: I just got back from grocery shopping and I'm hoping to get a nap in before hubby gets home from work. I'm also missing my grandbabies because I live in Georgia now, and Maddyn lives in Utah and Weston lives in Texas.

Last Year in January: Jan 17, 2024 was a Wednesday, so I probably posted my layouts for SOSN and went to water aerobics. I wasn't a grandma yet, but knew my first grandbaby was coming in June.
Grocery shopping twinners! I’m sorry your grandbabies both live far away and hope you get to visit them often.

Today, we're having a lazy day after doing a light day of homeschool. I'm working on scrapping my kiddo's latest video game play-through and he keeps coming in to give me feedback (which I am loving, even if he said the background has to be a solid when I was hoping to use a subtle pattern).

Last year was a pretty chill day. Nothing on the calendar and my only photo in Google Photos is a picture of a GIANT matzoh ball. Clearly my husband talked me into soup for dinner.
Good idea to check your photos from last year! Why didn’t I think of that?! I love that your kiddo was giving you scrap feedback; mine do grudgingly and only if I ask.

Today: Work and a meeting right after work. Friday afternoon meetings are not ideal lol. We went out to eat Mexican after Chance got off work.

Last year: Not sure... I was probably doing pretty much the same as this year. Nothing really interesting showed up in my Timehop for today.

Last year, working my normal lawyer desk job. This year, I was involuntarily appointed to be an arbitrator by the county superior court if you are a member of the bar in Az you have to serve if appointed) so I was basically the judge in a case today.

I can tell you what I did today, saying what I did last year is a stretch.

Today I slept in (my sleep has been all over the place with the extreme stress I've been under the past week). I've also been in contact with family to hear the latest updates on my Grandmother (we are pretty sure the end is close) & making plans to see her. This evening I'll be chilling out watching a basketball game.

A year ago, I was doing prep for my MOC challenge that was going live the following week. Apart from that I'm really not sure.

Glad I'm not the only one to struggle figuring out what they did a year ago. I even resorted to Facebook Memories & emails which told me absolutely nothing!

A lot has changed for me over the past year. I'm no longer a part of the fellowship where I was coordinating the weekly nursery roster, so I don't have any little kids to prepare for anymore. Also, last year, it was just me and one colleague in our office. Now, we're in office space with 6 other people. And at home, we got a new roommate, so we are fast-approaching Golden Girls status around here! What a difference a year can make!
