Oh gosh, I'm glad that it's Friday. But I'm also glad the summer is almost over. I couldn't find a gif that adequately represents my internal countdown towards back to school--the first "back to school" for our house that also means "The first time in 10 years that Sara gets some time to herself during the day"!

Thanks, Christa! I know that I have a very privileged life, but I have started to feel antsy as a SAHM. You mentioned how the news makes you feel: I'm hoping that having both kids in school gives me a chance to volunteer and DO something to make a difference, even a small one in my small community. Right now I can't really do anything (work, volunteer, get a haircut) cuz I don't have family nearby to watch the kids for me.

I'm a complete mix....


It's Friday... and one before a week off of work! So... this one applies... almost... in 4 hours or so.

Then Friday night and weekend start with NO KIDS night out with friends.... (funny... it's a kid!)

Then... vacation/no work.... I will be ecstatic!

Some family time, pool time, and relaxing time...

Inserting my giggles too... this is fun!

My daughter is a huge fan of Rick Riordan's books and today is Percy Jackson's birthday so we have just finished making a blue cake in his honor. Percy's mom always treated him with blue food. I think I'll be making a scrapbook page about this.
