Welcome to February!!! Wow, can you believe January & the MOC is over already???!!! February is a fun month full of Love! I love doing the template challenge and I am so honored to be hosting it for February. This month, we have an amazing template from our very own and very talented Cheryl of Fiddle Dee Dee Designs! You can download the template HERE. Then using the free template, create your own layout. You can scrap it exactly as it is, or you can flip it, rotate it, add or replace, as long as we can tell you used the template as your starting point. Here is my page: I took these photos of the Giraffes when I went to the Zoo recently. It was hard to choose the right photos of Momma & Baby as I took so many, but I settled on these as the way the template is composed, they both were facing in the correct directions so they worked perfectly here! (credits are listed in my gallery) Now it is your turn! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I am excited to see your pages! Have fun!
I hope you can see that I used the template. I was really inspired by the empty space in the center, where my daughter's big picture could go, and then all the supporting photos coming out the edges. If I've altered it too much by making more photos, I totally understand and can re-do. But the basic template, tag, original photo spots, and some of the labels are still there, as is the "photos from the edge" inspiration.
