  • 9JKL (Mark Feuerstein). Comedies are so iffy, it's hard to tell what's going to be a hit or not but I love this actor so hope it does well. I like the supporting cast too.
  • The Crossing. Don't know how well this will do but I'm excited to see how they portray the book (which I read).
  • Deception. Love the premise of this show so hope it's a good one.
  • Ghosted. Love Ally Walker and Adam Scott who are both in this sci-fi show.
  • Gospel of Kevin. I want to see anything with Jason Ritter.
  • Instinct. Serial killer and FBI...my kind of show.
  • S.W.A.T. Shemar Moore....need I say more????
  • Will & Grace....this is my most anticipated show for the fall. I can't wait for more Jack and Karen antics!
What about you? Are you eagerly anticipating any new shows???

I've been loving Adam Scott in Parks and Rec. So I may have to see when ghosted is on.

Usually I have a rule: I don't watch anything 1st season. Because I hate getting attached to a show and having it cancelled!

@bestcee I know, right? I hate getting involved in a show and then it disappears. A lot of times I don't know why a show doesn't make it b/c it seems really good.

really can't wait for This is Us | Season 2 ... This is Us has filled the void of Parenthood for me.
@jenn mccabe Yes....for me too! I still hate that the show ended but This Is Us has been a good replacement. I also love that Justin Hartley is in it (Kevin). We loved him on The Young & The Restless and were so bummed when he left the show but now it's all good b/c he left to be in This Is Us.

Oh, yes. So, much to look forward to:
- The 2nd half of Season 2 of Greenleaf (it hasn't started in Canada yet, I am the only one I know who watches it).
- Murdoch Mysteries (CBC)
- Kim's Convenience (CBC)
- Alias Grace (CBC)
- One Mississippi (on Amazon Prime). I just watched the first six episodes. Six more arrive on September 8. I never expected to like the show, but it was sad, and sweet, and just funny enough.
- We still have to watch Defenders (Netflix), and I cannot wait until my girl Jessica Jones is back with her own show.
- I've also recently gotten into something called Queen Sugar. It's another Oprah-produced show.

Going to have to look into Ghosted. This sounds interesting. But... the number one thing I am looking forward to this fall is the new Blade Runner. It is both mine and my husband's favourite movie, and the previews look really good.

@Juliestcyr Gosling and Ford?

The Good Place (The link goes to their IMDb page) Highlight the line below to see what I thought of the first season:
I thought there might be a twist coming, and it turned out there was one. I kept thinking "she's vain and he can't make up his mind. While Eleanor certainly isn't a "good" person, these people aren't exactly great, either." But I didn't see exactly what was coming.
The Blacklist, which is a show I started watching on Netflix and got thoroughly addicted! Courtney @bestcee, I waited a few seasons for a similar reason as you mentioned. I hate investing in a show and then POOF! it's gone. It's my "My So-called Life" problem.
(Those aren't new shows, sorry, but I love them both.)
As for new, I know Ozark recently came out on Netflix and I'm gonna start that once school has started (less than 2 weeks, y'all!!!).
Disjointed just released on Netflix today; that's another that'll have to wait until my days are free so I can watch without worry lol.
Gospel of Kevin (same reason as you, Rae!)
Ghosted looks good

I've been going through a phase where I can only handle a few dramas. Most of my shows need to be light or funny. IDK if it's the times (too much drama in the news, so my evening TV needs to balance that?) or if I'm too busy scrapping to pay attn to a really intense show?

@Tree City I watched the first half of the Good Place. And then I wasn't sure where it was going, so I stopped at a point I was ok with in case they didn't get a second season. I may have to go pick it up again.

@bestcee DH really wanted to watch it, and I liked the premise. (Plus he's put up with me cajoling him to try a show so many times that it seemed only fair to watch a show that I wanted to see anyway lol.) Anyway, the first season is now on Netflix instant so you could catch up quickly! And IMO it ended at a good place--no pun intended!--so that if it got canceled, there weren't a ton of lingering questions.

OMG Yes!!! I have the release date in my planner, I have to illegally watch it somewhere on the internet, because it's not gonna be available in the Netherlands right away. But I am so excited for this!

Oh The Defenders is good!! I found out yesterday there is gonna be a season two of Jessica Jones and I've been so happy! I am now in the proces of watching the other characters shows from The Defenders. I am going to be a Marvel fan. :)

I didn't follow the news around coming shows lately. So I have no idea what to be excited for this fall. But I'm gonna follow this thread to get some more tips. :)

@Juliestcyr TY for mentioning a few that are new to me. I'm interested Greenleaf, One Mississippi and Defenders. As for Queen Sugar....that is one of my favorite shows...the cast is fantastic and love the storylines....so good.

@Tree City We watched the first few episodes of The Good Place and didn't care for it, too silly, too goofy. Then months later we saw a few more and fell in love with it. The cast is awesome. Blacklist is one of our faves.

Ozark is on my to-watch list and hadn't heard of Disjointed so will check that out.

I'm weird. I don't watch TV, unless it's Fixer Upper or something like that. I will watch Timeless when it comes back, though. That's the only show I watched in years!

Oh yeah ... forgot about Stranger Things ... we will be watching that one too! :) thanks for the heads up on the date @cookingmylife - adding that little nugget to my planner!
