Fall TV Season

Curious for Mindhunter! My rule is to at least watch 3 episodes before I give up on a show. Although I try not to watch too many new shows, in case I get attached and a show gets cancelled....which I hate!
 
I just saw the trailer for Mindhunter (Netflix) and it's going to be on my list to watch. It starts in October.
 
I watch sooooo many shows.

'Once Upon A Time' is rebooting & people are either really lovin' it really hatin' it. I was super bored with the last couple of seasons so I'm interested to see what they do to make it fresh again. Plus Hook is still part of the cast so that's really the only thing that matters, isn't it?!

'The Bold Type' just premiered a few weeks ago. It's cute. I need to catch up on it.

Other shows coming back that I love: 'Empire,' 'Speechless,' 'American Housewife,' 'The Good Place' (that plot twist --- A++++++++), 'Imaginary Mary,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Modern Family,' 'Star,' 'Superstore,' 'This Is Us,' 'The Mindy Project' (hoping it comes back soon even though she's now pg IRL).

I am done, done, done with cop shows, doctor shows (besides Grey's 'cause it's not really a doctor show anymore, anyways), FBI shows, & superhero shows so that really narrows the list down of new shows I'd be interested in. So far only looks like 'The Gospel of Kevin' ('cause Lord knows I would watch Jason Ritter peel an orange for an hour), 'Rise' ('Glee' 2.0), and 'Splitting Up Together' fit the bill as something I might watch.

Of course what I'm really doing is just biding my time for season 2 of 'The Handmaid's Tale.' :beat
 
@LeeAndra We watch American Housewife as a family. We all enjoy it! The only time that's really been a "problem" was when they got drunk celebrating his book. The next day I was chatting with a mom friend at the bus stop. She asked me "Do anything fun yesterday?" and my 5yo walks up and simply states "they got drunk. It was funny!" I almost had a heart attack and I told my friend "he means on the show, on American Housewife! We watched it yesterday." Thank goodness she watches the show too, so she knew what he was talking about!
 
I am just eagerly waiting Outlander season 3 (on Starz). I can't wait! Can you blame me?

I cant wait for Will & Grace!!! I'm also giddy about the start back of HTGAM and Scandal!
 
I am such a tvaholic b/c I watch about 99.9% of everything just mentioned in this thread :)
A few summer ones to mention if you haven't seen them, to tide you over for a few weeks until some of the new ones start, is:

  • Stitchers
  • Claws
  • Queen Of The South
  • Killjoys
  • Zoo
  • Preacher
I watch all of these except Midnight, Texas which I've PVR'd and am anxious to watch over the next few weeks.
 
I am soooo out of the TV loop. I am looking forward to Stranger Things. I honestly don't know what any of those other shows are! LOL. I need to get with the programs (literally).
 
Well not new fall ones but ones I've enjoyed recently...as I signed up for a month of PBS on demand ($5.99) to catch some shows I missed that PBS does not show on regular On Demand.

Tennison (PBS) the prequel to Prime Suspect
Ozark's (Netflix) as the friend who recommended it... really f'd up stuff ...Laura Linney and Jason Bateman
Endeavor (PBS) the prequel to all the Morse shows - Endeavor 4th Season is now showing
 
When it comes to TV I'm mostly a reruns girl (I'm looking at you Burn Notice and Stargate), but I do like Elementary and was glad that it got renewed for another season. I also enjoy NCIS, though we started it late and are still working through earlier seasons.

What I really want to happen (but we will likely never get) is a 5th season of Sherlock!

I am so out of the loop- I thought this show had ended years ago. I had no idea there was a reunion version. I didn't really watch the first one, so not that interested in the new one, though.
