I’m at the eye doc with my daughter today. She gets itchy eyelids this time of year so hopefully there’s a quick fix.

When’s the last time you went to the eye doc?
Do you wear contacts or glasses?

I haven't been to the eye doctor since we moved and need to find a new eye doctor. I wear readers for computer work and reading and really want to get some progressive glasses, so I don't have to take them on and off throughout the day.

When’s the last time you went to the eye doc? Have my annual appointment set for Apr 27.

Do you wear contacts or glasses? Glasses. I've had bifocals for over 30 years. I have to go yearly since I have cataracts although they aren't at the place where I need surgery.

I go once a year and last went in January of this year. I wear contact lenses most days since I have really bad vision.

We go pretty much every year! I've been wearing glasses since I was in grade 2. I can't see a thing without them!

It's been too long and I should probabl get that scheduled. I wear readers for working on the computer and reading smaller print.

3 years, and I needed to go about a year ago. It's hard for me to do self care. Really easy for me to care for others.

I just went to my eye doctor yesterday! It was an "annual" checkup. I put that in quotes because I'm new at wearing glasses. I got reading glasses circa 2021 and progressives just a year ago. I was happy to be told my eyes haven't changed enough to require new glasses; these progressives were expensive and I hoped they'd last longer than a year. I just wanted to get a new prescription for reading glasses, to replace the old, scratched and bent ones I've been using for several years. I prefer reading glasses just for reading books and my 27" Mac screen because with the progressives I'd have to tilt my head and move it back and forth constantly.

I plan to take this new prescription to one of the online glasses shops like Zenni Optical. Has anyone used one of those, and how did you like them?

I hope you find a new eye doctor you like Kayla.

Good job keeping your annual appointment. That’s nice you don’t need surgery yet.

Good job going once a year. I schedule my kids every year but not myself.

My daughter can’t see a thing without hers either! I think she got hers around grade 2 as well. Twinners!

When’s the last time you went to the eye doc? Last summer, and I go every year.

Do you wear contacts or glasses? I have worn glasses since I was 9 years old, and in grade 4.

I thought about Zenni but ended up using EyeBuyDirect online and have liked it.

Good job going every year. I feel like it’s easier to be consistent when you wear glasses.

I went at the end of last year and got some progressives. They are great for driving and when I go to church and need to see between reading and focusing on the speaker. But I can't wear them at work. They are just not right for the distance between my eyes and the computer monitors. That's fine. I still have lots of readers that work great!

I’m glad the combo of progressives and readers is working for you.

When’s the last time you went to the eye doc ? The last time was last July and I have a new appointment for July.

Do you wear contacts or glasses ?
I wear varifocals and I realise every day that my near vision is changing. Unfortunately, I had my lenses replaced last year, so I have to wait another year before changing them again (to get a refund from my private health insurance; otherwise I’d have to pay the full price, and that’s especially true for varifocal lenses with photochromic lenses).
This year, I’m going back because I’d like to try contact lenses when I do sport. Glasses really aren’t practical. They’re okay for strength training, but for karate they’re not great. I’m always worried about breaking them.
