Ever have this happen?

You see a kit or collab and really like it but by the time you have gone through paypal and got the download links you have second guessed yourself and now don't like it.

Yep, just happened and now I feel really guilty cause I could have spent the $$$ on other scrappy goodness that was actually in my wishlist...urgh

Haha, I posted a thread about this almost verbatim a while ago. The general concensus was to check out the gallery for that kit for inspiration and scraplift.

This worked out well for me. I challenged myself and used the kit 2 or 3 times and then allowed myself to archive it. I still pull bits and bobs from it so I still consider it a good addition to my stash.

Well there must have been something you liked about it to begin with or you wouldn't have went through the trouble of buying it. I would try to focus on the positive things or find a creative way to use it. What was it that drew you to the kit to begin with? Focus on that. MrsEm has some really good suggestions as well. Is the kit you posted the one you regret buying or one on your wish list? If it's one you regret buying I can link you up to lots of awesome inspiration using that kit. Maybe it would help to see it in action.

Aw, Anne how sweet of you!!!

I have done that, but just started playing and a lot of the time the end result is my current favorite layout!

After looking at it I like some of the cards so will perservere.

gracielou - its a kit that was never on my wishlist to start

Anne - oh wow!....thank you

Sometimes as a CT I have had to work with kits that don't do anything for me personally but I go and have a look at how the others used it and once I see it in all its glory it just seems to work .... good luck with it Jennifer!

I was asking if the kit and journal card pictures to "Nerds Have more fun" that you posted in your original post were the one that you regretted buying or if you were posting those pictures because you wish you would have bought them instead. If that was the kit you regretted buying, I have seen some amazing pages made with it and I was going to post some examples to maybe help you see it in action.

I'm studying in a more social sciences field so I guess thats one of the main reasons im regretting it but I am doing a 6 week summer paper on computer science so i might be able to use it for that

ok. Here is some inspiration from the gallery that I found with the kit. Maybe it will get your creative juices flowing. So sorry you regret buying it. I have definitely had kits that I regretted in the past but it was always fun pushing myself to see what I could come up with.

Great inspiration. I love how one kit can be used in so many ways across so many styles. I'm sure you will come up with something your happy with, Jennifer.

I have done that before with a kit and like others said there was something that attracted me to the kit in the first place. I have just put it away for the time being and then pulled it out, looking at it with fresh eyes and some time away seemed to help me :)
