Downton Abbey

Christine, I got so caught up by all of their lives. I always felt like I was eavesdropping on them and that I shouldn't have seen or heard what I did. I would say watch episode 1...and make it through the whole thing. You'll know by then if you want to continue with it or not. Rick was a little unsure until about half way through...and by the end of episode one, he was hooked and was more than willing to stay up later to watch another episode.

and...we've never watched a lot of period pieces before this. We really haven't had a huge interest in them.

I don´t know this series... I love romantic movies in Jane Austen´s style and I guess it is some like this, isn´t it?

I generally don't enjoy period pieces, especially English ones, LOL. Can I look past that part and just enjoy the stories?

Christine~ They have lots of different characters and different story lines going on throughout. So. .. they keep the storyline moving and changing and bring characters back into play at key moments. It's a great escape!

If you like Jane Austen. . .this is a great series for you!

Thanks to all of you, I have watched the whole first two seasons in about 5 days. :) while I work, of course. :) and now I have to WAIT until season three comes out! aaaahhhh! I have loved it!
 
LOL Amber! I was telling my husband last night about all of you watching it till the wee hours in the morning, watching the entire two seasons in just a few days! We could so relate!

I did the same thing. .. that's why I'm getting all of my friends around me to watch so we can talk about it!

Kind of a let down huh?!
 
i should have looked up when season 3 started before i started watching, then i could have paced myself. :P ah who am i kidding, i would have watched them super fast anyway... :)

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Downton Abbey and am having withdrawls waiting until the new season this fall!! I can't wait!!
 
I just finished the second season yesterday! I love it. I love the dry humor of everyone, it all completely cracks me up!!
 
Wait... 2nd season? I thought there was only one season?

I just watched all of the first 7 episodes this weekend instead of scrapping with the new BYOC goodies! I blame you guys! :)
 
Oh I can't wait for Season 3... or for Season 2 to make it to Netflix so I can sit and do a marathon of it.
 
I have bought both seasons on DVD and I'm hoping to watch them SOON! I'm dying to see this, I ::love:: WWI time period and stuff in Great Britain! So excited to see it! :)
 
I just finished Season 2. My mom was hooked on it, I kept rolling my eyes, and then one day I watched the first episode...
When does season 3 start?
