I heard something funny the other day: they had a segment on an NPR program that featured linguists who enjoyed trying to spot phrases used in Downton Abbey that were not actually "invented" at that point in time (such as "step on it" and "I'm just saying..."). At one point, a comic described the segment like "This is NPR beating up on PBS. It's nerd-on-nerd violence." Cracked me up!

I started it a few weeks ago, and my dh and I watched season 1 in two nights on netflix. I bought most of season 2 on Amazon (through the tv)...love love love...totally obsessed...and so is my dh. We can't wait for season 3!!!
