Are your holiday decorations still up? I will admit that mine came down on the morning of the 26th. They've been up since mid-November and I was ready to have my house back to normal. I also like to have the last week of my break to just relax and not have anything hanging over my head. The weather has been unusually warm (upper 60's), so I took advantage of it and got the outside down as well. And, I like to do a little purge when I put things up as well. I throw out a lot of stuff, Christmas and everyday decor that I just don't want to put back out haha.

So what about you? Have your decorations come down yet? Do you have a specific date you take them down?

Took tree down today only because our new couch is coming Tuesday and I wanted to make sure we have room for them to maneuver the couch into the room.

I still have the kitchen to take down all of my gingerbread items but I may leave those up for a bit.

I decorate the day after Thanksgiving, so I like to leave it up for awhile. I slowly transition "santa" stuff to winter stuff. I take down the santa pics & the stockings, but leave a lot of the other stuff- since I sorta have a snowflake theme in general, so it works well for winter. The tree usually comes down right after NYE- which is hubby's bday & we have people over to celebrate, so I leave it up until Jan1 at least. :)

I only have a couple of small tabletop trees, a wall hanging and a ceramic lighted tree to put away. I will do it while the cleaning lady is here tomorrow. Might take a whole 10 minutes. I leave my "Christmas in Heaven" scene out until January 1st.

they are staying up at least til the 1st week in January here! they take so long to put up and then it feels like Dec goes by in a flash and i dont get to enjoy them but the tree is a birthday tree now (i hang bunting and stuff on it to make it a bit different for DS's b'day and it'll stay like that til we pull it all down - it's too hot in the roof for DH to be in any rush to put it all away yet anyway) - it does make a difference that the kids are older now and not touching it every time i turn my back so theres not nearly as many fake pine needles to clean up these days!

We traditionally don't take our decorations down until after January 6th. I am trying to get empty boxes and gift bags gathered up to take to the basement. We will slowly transition from Christmas to a general winter/snowman theme as I have a large snowman collection.

I wanted to take it all down today but the young dude asked me to keep it up another day. Which is okay, it gave me another night to play around with taking photos. And I'll be honest here, as much as I need to have it down and just get on with things, I'm going to miss the view from my desk.

Ours are still up. I think my hubby is hinting though because he brought all of the boxes inside today. He even asked me if I wanted the tree lights on tonight. I said "yes, of course - as long as the tree is up I do". Another hint. :lol:lol:lol

As a teacher, I have a two week holiday around Christmas and New Years. So I usually take down my tree in the last weekend.
We celebrate Sinterklaas on December 5th, so my tree goes up after that. One full month in Christmas decor is my goal.

our's went up the week before Christmas, so we've not had chance to get bored of them yet. They will stay up until the children go back to school. They return to school on the 6th.

I am ready to take ours down.
I think it's because DS1&2 have left already and so it feels like the festivities are all done.
It will be soon, no doubt.

Ours is still up but only because family is here visiting. We "celebrated" Christmas with them last night. My MIL will be here for 2 weeks...not sure I can wait that long to take them down. I might have her help me take them down while she is here. LOL!

I take down mine the weekend after New Years so I am looking at next Sat or Sunday.

I decided to leave one of my trees up. It is the one in the office and it is white with purple ornaments... not Christmassy at all! I think I might just keep it up for awhile. My cleaning lady loved the "Christmas in Heaven" setup so I just might keep it up for longer than normal. It is comforting to see since it makes me feel as if my parents are with me.

And, it took me longer than 10 minutes only because I kept getting sidetracked talking to the cleaning lady!

Outside decorations are down, but inside decorations are still up. Hubby was sick over his vacation at Christmas, and he's the one who does all my heavy lifting. I'm ready for them to be gone, but didn't want to worry him with getting the boxes out. So right now it looks like it will be tomorrow or Wednesday before the rest is put away!

This is pretty much my plan even though there aren't any children chez moi. Granddaughter is here until Jan1st and I may have her help me undecorate the tree some time tomorrow or maybe not...I am taking a few of the easy to remove cloth items, mostly from Thailand, down soon as the make the basic padding for one box. And I'm sorting things I no longer want into the lights bin. Each year I seem to cut back on stuff and yet find more stuff lurking in the attic or cellar. Elves!

We headed out of town the day after Christmas, so everything is still up at my house. I may be able to take the trees down this coming weekend. I usually leave the outside icicle lights up until late January.

I avoid taking it down . . . honestly, I would have it up all year if it were socially acceptable! Although I do suspect this year it will be down by end of day on New Year's. Only because my work and family schedule will be really full.

Our tree came down yesterday. It was getting really dried out - more than usual - and dropping needles everywhere so it had to come down. The wreath is still pretty so it's still up on our front door, and there are still a few miscellaneous elves here and there.
