Concerts? Yay or nay?

I haven't been much recently, but I used to go to concerts all the time!! I love them! I think I saw every big name from the 80's, especially the hair bands, and some of them 2 or 3 times - Motley Crue (x2), Whitesnake, Van Halen (with Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth), Ratt, Poison, Bryan Adams, Heart, Lyrnyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard. AC/DC was my all time favorite concert. I would love to see U2!! I almost went to see Guns and Roses here recently but I was so in love with Axl Rose back in the day, I didn't want to ruin my image of him hahaha. I've seen a few country artists as well. And those are the big shows. We have been to lots of little ones. I just love live music! The youngest and I may be going to see Imagine Dragons in November.

We enjoy concerts, but they are few and far between.

We do have tickets to see NEEDTOBREATHE in December at a small theater in Chattanooga. This will be our 4th time seeing them. One band that both my hubby and I enjoy. We have slightly different tastes when it comes to music.

I have never been to a stadium event concert (except The Wiggles :giggle) - although we are going to one in Oct - Midnight Oil, an Australian band, we have front row seats so may have to break out some ear protection..

my first concert was INXS in 1985, just before they hit it big - they were playing in a nearby cinema venue, wasn't even sold out and tickets were less than $20 - great night!

Have see lots of Australian bands, not so many international acts - kd Lang was wonderful and we saw The Decemberists at The Sydney Opera House last year - they were exceptional! And we got to see Bob Dylan in the early 90's, such an icon.

Enjoy U2 - that sounds like so much fun!

Oh, you are going to have so much fun!

I like concerts. DH does not, but he's a good sport and will go for me--not that we go very frequently. I wish we did, though. He's happy going to a concert like once every 5 years lol! He's lucky: I don't bother him about concerts now cuz we don't live close to any big venues.

Not that you need encouragement, but have fun!!! It's going to be fantastic!

I am usually a "no" to concerts because they have become so expensive, but this Summer we went to see a few and enjoyed them so much. We also have tix to go see Lady Gaga.
@Dalis She'd be worth seeing, she puts on such a good stage show!

Oh, I love concerts! All of my favourites seemed to come out to Australia in a three month period last year: Garbage, Bruce Springsteen, the Dixie Chicks...I was so disappointed that it was summer and I was too heavily pregnant to go.

oh back in the day I went to many concerts.. Alabama (at least 3 times) John Denver (3 times) Willie Nelson, George Strait, Tiny Tim (twice) Merle Haggard, Don Willliams, Bobby Bear(sp) Hank Williams Jr. , Steve Perry, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Gloria Estefan (the tour after recovery from her bus accident), Donna Summers, Barry Manilow are just a few. My cousin Walter (passed away last year :( ) was in a few bands and I would go see him and his friends that also had more than one band, play all over Long Island.

That was all before I got married.. since then I have not been to a concert at all which is ok.. we live close to the Amphitheater here in VA Beach and on a good summer night if we sit on our front porch on a Friday we can sometimes here the bands playing there. I no longer want to deal with crowds!!

Jan - my friend Craig Duswalt was a roadie for Axl and the G&R band.. he is still best friends with them :)

Oh man... I love small venue concerts. Bigger venues, I don't want to try, I don't think I can handle all those people and haven't done that since college and it was special - front row center Dave Matthews. Awesome!

I've seen Dave Matthews, Journey, Kenny Rogers, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, NKOTB, Sugarland, Poison, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, and some more I can't remember, lol.

We have the amphitheater PNC Arts Center in my backyard basically. I can hear most concerts in the summer, not super great, but if I know the music, I might be able to tell you who is playing without looking it up. DH and I haven't been in a couple summers, but now that the boys are older, we plan on it! There is no reason not to, especially since we are so close. It's small enough, and not too big. Plus, all open seating and lawn seats or regular seats.

Next summer, I want to see Steve Miller, Imagine Dragons (with my oldest son), Sam Hunt, and Zac Brown Band.

We missed seeing the Dixie Chicks and I was so upset because Bianca LOVES them, now they are not touring.

My friend was at U2's show last night. I kept getting video updates from her all night. Looks like (and sounded like) it was an amazing show!

My hubby is taking my daughter to see Imagine Dragons next month. They got front center seats - i think row 11 or something. That is her absolute fave right now. The tickets were expensive so I figured just let him take her. Although he is considering letting her bring a friend instead ... he will drive them and then wait nearly by the arena. We shall see... :)

The Dixie Chicks still put on concerts?

Have a great time!

I don't have any metalhead friends, so no one to go to concerts with. But, that's okay. I think that I would feel out of place at a Slipknot show anyway. Probably not to many other soccer moms there. :P
