Thanks for the great chat and challenge!
Here is my layout:

Here's mine. I think I got everything.

1. Solid background (textured, but not patterned)
2. BIG photo
3. 1 or more shapes (HOW did I read this multiple times and think it said 3 or more?!) - the paper strips behind the photo
4. 1 or more word art - word art strips galore!
5. 1 scatter - check
6. 3 or more elements - stitching, staples, pennant, arrows
7. shadowing and journaling
