Hello everyone,

We will be in the chat room in just a couple of minutes for our speed scrap that is coordinated with the MOC January 18: Recipe challenge. You MUST ATTEND the chat portion and post your layout (meeting all the requirements) to the speed scrap gallery and this thread by the 5 pm EST deadline to receive the Speed Scrap prize. You are also allowed to post the same layout to the MOC challenge thread for MOC credit.

See ya in a few.

ETA: This Speed Scrap is sponsored by Sabrina's Creations. She has some awesome products in her store. Check them out and you'll quickly see how lucky we are to have her here at The Lilypad. :heartlub

saving for steps
  1. Start with 1 solid paper for your background. It must be a solid. It can have texture but no patterns.
  2. Add 1 BIG photo - NO OTHER PHOTOS ALLOWED. It must take up at least 1/2 of your page. It can be bigger, but I must still be able to see some of the solid background paper.
  3. Add 1 or more shape(s) (rectangles, squares, circles, triangles, hexagons, scallops, chevrons) to your layout and fill the shape(s) with solid or pattern paper as desired. These can be paper layers, but I must still be able to see the solid background.
  4. Spice it up by adding 1 or more word art(s) to your layout.
  5. Sprinkle on ONLY 1 scatter. (FYI: Paint is NOT a scatter).
  6. Top off your layout with 3 or more elements in addition to what you have already added, but remember you can ONLY have 1 scatter and 1 photo TOTAL on your layout.
  7. Finish your layout to taste with shadowing, journaling, a date or an awesome title. These are all optional. Add what you want from what's listed in this step, but NOTHING ELSE can be added!

A new page for me seperate from MOC challenge:
1 plain bg paper (white paper)
1 large photo = at least 1/2 (grandparents, Grand Aunt & Uncle, Great Grandma)
3 shapes (diamonds)
1 scatter (stars)
1 word art (#happy memories word strip)
at least 3 elements: flower, 2 heart flairs, long rectangle = ribbon
finishing extras: title and shadowing

Thanks for the chat!

confetti scatter
WA Precious moments (clipped to 1 paper), + 1 word strip
shapes: patterned papers clipped to heptagons, and I used a kaleidoscope plugin to transform them
3 elements (flower, stitches, paint)
journaling

I usually don't use big photos, so that was a challenge in itself!
Thank you for the chat and the instructions.

Thanks for the chat, it was fun. Here is my page WordArt is the title, shapes are the bones with paper clipped in them,
elements flower and leaf, plus the blended leaf under the photo, and the extended photo shape in the corner.

I'm sorry I couldn't follow but it's dinner/ready to bed time here

I think I did it! Thank you for the challenge, I'll add my credits soon :)

Thanks for the fun chat. I made this page separate from the MOC challenge which I did already. I used multiples of my 3 elements and put the WA on the plate in my photo. Here's mine:

  1. Start with 1 solid paper for your background.
  2. Add 1 BIG photo - NO OTHER PHOTOS ALLOWED. It must take up at least 1/2 of your page.
  3. Add 1 or more shape(s): arrow and fill the shape with ... pattern paper.
  4. Spice it up by adding 1 word art on arrow to your layout.
  5. Sprinkle on ONLY 1 scatter: heart scatter.
  6. Top off your layout with 3 or more elements: word arts; cats; feather; circle; photo mat.
  7. Finish your layout to taste with shadowing.

That was a fun chat!! Here is my layout:
1 plain background paper; 1 large photo; 3 hex shapes; 2 word arts, (or you could call the little rectangle a title); 1 scatter; 3 elements, the cocktail on the sidewalk in the photo, the butterfly, the paint; added shadowing, journaling and a date.
