I’m so excited for this slow scrap! One of the things I enjoy the most is seeing how scrappers perceive challenges so differently. None of us scrap the same, and I love seeing what others do when given a prompt! With that being said, for this slow scrap I want you to scrap your name. What??? I know you are thinking I’m crazy right now but let me explain. It’s really easy and fun I promise!
I want you to make a layout based on the letters in your name.
1. First, you need to add the same number of photos as letters in your name. My name has five letters, so I’ll scrap five photos. Some of y’all will be stressed about that but remember you can repeat the same photo multiple times if that helps! Y'all can scrap your real name, your last name, your nickname, or your forum name.
2. Next, you need to use something that corresponds to each letter in your name. For instance, if your name has an “A” in it, you could scrap an apple, use the color apricot, or scrap some photos of art. You can get creative as long as you spell it out for me (because those of you who know me know that I’m NOT creative like that!).
3. You can add anything else you want on the page – meaning you aren’t restricted to JUST what’s in your name, but the minimum must be based on your name (except for the photos – those need to match the number of letters exactly).
4. Put your layout in this thread before the deadline of 10:00PM EST on 4/20/23 and let me know how you scrapped your name (see my example if that helps).
So here’s my layout using Hear My Voice 09 Changing collab by Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson.. My name is Robin (duh!) so I scrapped 5 photos, a picture of me for “R”, a word strip that starts with an “O” in the word “onward”, a butterfly for “B”, ink for “I”, and the stamp has numbers as well as the first word in my title for “N”.
See how you can take a creative license with this? Just make sure the number of photos matches your name and have fun with the rest. I cannot wait to see how creative some of y’all can get! Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery and don’t forget about the gallery rules: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products (Templates count as 15%). Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.
I’ll PM everyone who finished with a $3 coupon. How cool is that??!! I can’t wait to see what y’all come up with and remember to have fun!
