I'll go first.
It was July 2020 - the height of the pandemic - and we were stir crazy and trying to figure out how to vacation while still social distancing (remember that!?). So, we drove to an AirBNB in southern Utah and spent a week outside in nature. It was wonderful. One day we took a hike in a remote canyon in the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Park. And I do mean REMOTE -- it was 10 miles of brutally rough unpaved road (after 7 miles of paved road) to get there. But, it was totally worth it and I have such vivid memories of this hike. Including the rattlesnake that I almost stepped on until my daughter screamed STOP! Let's just say that the memories could easily have been bad memories of trying to get medical help that far from anything during a global pandemic. But nature (and the chonky snake) smiled on us that day and we survived with a slightly scary story and amazing photos to remember it.
