Can’t Wait

OMG, me too! I'm using Mixbook to print my 2024 book and took advantage of a sale last week to order mine. Can't wait for it to get here. We also just booked a summer vacation to S Korea so really looking forward to that!

  • Legal/financial matters that have been going on since June resolved hopefully within the month - there's been a lot of positive movement towards that this week so it's looking way more likely now.
  • This one is much further down the track & truthfully I thought was never a possibility at all - maybe end of this year or next year as there is still quite a few steps to do to enable the estate to be paid out but it doesn't stop me dreaming at least. This past week in amongst all of the legal stuff going on above, the lawyer requested a copy of the will from the estate of my grandmother's lawyers. I had been reassured by other family members that I was "looked after" so I figured enough to pay my student loan off - I would have been perfectly ok with that as it's a weekly deduction of 12% once you earn over approximately $25k (on the salary I'm targeting that's about $80-100 a week). After reading what's actually in the will, well there's going to be provisions for me to have enough for a deposit on my own property (both me & my cousin have this). It will mean moving out of the city I'm in now but that was always the plan. Now all I need is a job! To say I was in shock was an understatement....

Jennifer, that sounds like wonderful news. Fingers crossed that everything works out on both fronts!

Actually @jagruti patel reminded me of what I really can't wait for....cooler days (February always seems to be the hottest & most humid just as everyone is back at work & school for the year). I don't do well with super hot & humid weather so Autumn can't come soon enough. I joke that I like the beginning of Autumn & the end of Spring only!

I cannot wait for spring bird migration and I can start getting out again with the camera. A friend and I have a photography wkend trip planned for late March and we'll do another wkend away together, driving to Saskatchewan for birding in April.

I can't wait for warm weather. lol... but before that game night later, St Paddy's Day, and DH birthday!

How wonderful Jennifer! I’m very happy for you.

I hope it gets cooler for you sooner than later.

I love that you are into birding. Your weekend trip in March sounds wonderful; enjoy.

Yay for game night later! We don’t really celebrate St Paddy’s Day unless you count eating lots of rainbow candy lol

Rainbow candy? lol! We have like 4 St paddy’s things around here we’re going to! And one was even cancelled!

I can’t wait to finally get moved into our new home. We’ve had some hiccups with getting appliances delivered and internet connected so we can start living there. We’ve been taking loads over every night after work and are hoping we can get moved in soon. I’m sick too, so that’s complicating things even more.
