I like to refer to this time of year between Christmas and New Year as the black hole. I've also seen it called Twixmas! I never know what day it is, or the date, or even what's going on lol. I've actually been pretty productive the last couple of days...Christmas is down and put away, I cleaned out 2 out of 3 cars (thanks to some unseasonably warm days), and I took both those cars for oil changes. But now I'm ready to settle in and do nothing for a few days before I have to think about back to work.
This guy has some rules I could work with LOL

How do you spend Twixmas??

In Sweden it's called "mellandagarna", which means 'the days between'.

We are lazy. Eating. Playing boardgames. Watching TV. Reading books. Pretending there is no future where we have to go vack to work and school.

Like you @IntenseMagic I'm lost with the day of the week. The routine is not here. We have one more big dinner with my in-laws but my body says : stop ! No more please !
And yet I was careful about the quantities, but the meals are much richer than usual.
I don't really like this week between Christmas and New Year's. Neither do the children, because we have to remind them that they have homework to do (because yes, some teachers dared to give them work to do and didn't give them any during the All Saints' Day holidays).

I knew today was Monday this yr because I had a dentist appointment that I set like a hundred reminders not to forget, but usually by today i'm in the 'son's bday is now finished, I get a few days of not much happening & let's scrap' mode but this year hasn't been like that.

My favourite time of the year! The stress of preparing for Christmas is over. Everyone's got all their goodies and treats. It's the only time of the year I take more than 1-2 days off from work (finished on the 22nd and go back on the 5th). It's a totally chill time, indulging in chocolates, tv, movies and scrapping. I love the not knowing what day it is feeling and it not being a problem!

Unfortunately, this year I've come down with some virus type thing so I'm in bed feeling somewhat sorry for myself. Have my laptop though and thankfully I shopped like armageddon was upon us before Christmas so the fridge and cupboards are well stocked!

We got a new-to-us China cabinet from a friend of ours, so I took all of my Christmas decorations off the shelf that I had used in the kids' old playroom (it had our Christmas village on it-so lots of little things!) and now all of those things are spread out all over the house! My husband has to go get some sort of adhesive to glue the one piece of glass back into the China cabinet. In the meantime, I had to make room in the garage for the shelf that was in the house. Suffice to say, my house is a bit of a mess, but I'm excited for the new cabinet!

I've been working on finishing up some scrapbook challenges and some CT stuff that needs to be done by the 31st! My husband took off until Jan 7th. While it's nice to have him home, I find that I don't get near as much done with him here!

@IntenseMagic - you have been very productive! That's awesome!

@tanteva - the days between, I love that!

I'm trying to get to the let's scrap part! Hopefully most of this week!

Ewwww shame on those teachers that give homework over the break!

I love that all the stress is gone, for the most part!
So sorry you're not feeling well and I hope you feel better quickly so that you can more enjoy your time off! Awesome that your fridge and cupboards are stocked!!

Yay for a new China cabinet!! I never get as much done with my husband is here and he's had too many days off lately lol.

I was supposed to go back to work today, but no one needs to look upon this toothless monstrosity, so I stayed home and waited to hear from the dentist, who can see me tomorrow. So, looks like I'll go to work Wednesday, since my colleague is off that day, and then a day off, and then another work day. Blech. Because I'm totally in the "I don't know what day it is" mode right now, and no one wants me calling them to schedule a visit with their financial advisor in January.

I'm enjoying my mom (a teacher) being off work so I can have a little break. I think I watched more TV between Christmas Eve and now than I have in the past 2 months. I'm also on track to finish book 200 for the year a day ahead of anticipated. (Thank goodness I have a stack of holds from the library to start on next year's reading.)

I should be working on my December album but I'm just making empty PSDs named after what I'm going to scrap eventually and calling it good enough. Maybe some of them can be MOC pages but if not, it'll get done when it gets done. That's my gift to myself for the holidays: resting and letting things go.

I keep wondering what day it is lol how is it Tuesday? I swear it’s Friday!

I took down Christmas the 26. We went to a college basketball game last night. Hoping to squeeze in some scrapping today!

LOL for sure I'm avoiding any calls like that!
