August Photography Challenge

Wow, is it really August?!! Happy August, friends! Welcome to this month's photography challenge.

My daughter's Art History professor engages in a practice of actively looking for the elements of art (line, shape, form, color, value, space & texture) in her daily life. Periodically she will choose one to focus on and take pictures that capture that element throughout the day. I'd like us to do that for our challenge this month. To keep it simple we will focus on color.

Pick one color and take photos that feature that color. You can observe your chosen color on a walk, around your house, throughout your day, or even throughout the month. Your layout should include at least 3 photos that feature your chosen color.

I chose orange, which was sparked by all the construction going on in my neighborhood. However, I was surprised at how many other places that it popped up during my week. I took a ton of orange photos during the week but edited it down to 5 for my page. Here it is.



Chose a color and take pictures when you observe that color as you are going about your life. Scrap at least 3 of the photos.

Gentle Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product (eligible product can be current or retired product from resident designers, or guest designer product that is currently in the TLP store). The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:

2 challenges = 10% off
4 challenges = 20% off
6 challenges = 30% off
